Third person POV:

She looked herself in the mirror and smiled, satisfied with her outfit. She chose a simple blue dress which had a white strip on the waist and tied her silky blonde hair with a ribbon loosely.

I hope he likes it... Wait! Did I just think about him again? Oh my god help me I think I'm going crazy!

Minerva thought to herself as she groaned and sat on the bed. It was eleven in the morning and Paula came to her saying that the king has asked her to get ready as he was going to take her 'somewhere'. She asked Paula where? And Why? a dozen times but she simply scolded her and sternly ordered her to get ready without any further questions.

Annoyed, Minerva chose to give up and change eventually.

She had been thinking about him for quite a long time. To be exact, since he told Dahlia the truth and she 'heard' it. She was astonished to see that side of the cold hearted and ruthless king about whom she had heard rumours countless times.

She had also heard rumours that prince Xavier committed suicide because he was scared to take responsibility of the kingdom and the throne. She had heard that his death was an accident. But the worst was that he was murdered and that too by his own brother... Nickolas. People said that he killed his brother because he wanted to sit on the throne.

She and her family were never into politics and didn't like to keep up with the royals' and nobles' latest updates. But like wild fire, these rumours were passed from one ear to another and soon all the kingdoms were sharing their opinions and theories when prince Nickolas was crowned king.

Her friends liked to gossip about this a lot. She also remembered how they used to dream of falling in love with any of the princes and marrying them and become a part of the royal family. Those girls were so obsessed with the idea of meeting and luring the princes that they also flattered about the techniques they knew to seduce them. And the way they discussed their fantasies and all of what they wanted to do to them was what disgusted Minerva.

She didn't understand what was so honourable to be a queen or a princess if you are not happy.

Whatever great title you may achieve in this world, if you and your conscience is not happy and satisfied, then all of that honour is of no use.

She then broke all ties with them since she knew she didn't fit in there. She found it extremely hard to gossip and dress up like them. Talk about boys like them. She always felt like an outsider but now she was glad that she distanced herself from them.

She never believed in any of those rumours but always and naturally had curiosity. She wanted to know what truly happened but was so scared to ask anyone. But soon she found out herself.
