Minerva Agustin:

It's been a week since I went to the dungeon and was scolded by the king. I must say that little 'talk' I had with him has fuelled my determination of getting out of here.

All I have to do is to wait for the evening class at three. Which is the dance class.

I hate that class!

They make us wear sheer dresses that give a clear view of our cleavage, legs and tummy.
I asked why is this necessary and got a reply.

"To lure the king..."

I had found out around two days back that there is a old escape door made for emergencies which leads to the open grounds outside the palace. And after that I can reach the port and get on a ship which will take me back to Roxanville.

But to get in a ship I need to pay for a seat of course, and I've earned around eleven coins.

All the girls here are paid for the small works and tasks they do like cleaning and cooking etc.

I hope I can buy a seat out of eleven coins.

*************

"Alright girls let's get going!" Miss Paula ordered us as we made a queue and started walking towards the dance class.

When we reached, they taught us different steps and how to do them with poise. I resisted the urge to puke.

Okay I have to do this.

I walked towards miss Paula and asked, "umm... miss?"

"What is it?" She questioned without looking at me as she was too focused writing in her journal.

"May I please go to the bathroom?" I tried to sound nice and sweet.

"Okay." She said uninterestedly

I smiled with excitement and tried to hide it.

I walked to the ground floor speedily as I could barely contain my happiness. I still couldn't believe I was going home.

It's happening! It's finally happening!

I hid myself now and then from the guards and workers passing by. I couldn't afford to have them ask me where I was wondering and I could not make an excuse that I was going to the restroom because it was in the opposite direction.

I descended the stairs of the ground floor and reached the basement.

It had a huge, old and rusty door. I pushed it with all my strength. Man it's heavy alright! I groaned in frustration and continued to push the door again.

Why on earth would they make emergency an door so heavy?

"Need some help." I heard a husky voice from behind me.

My breath hitched but I didn't dare to turn around. It wasn't Nickolas that's for sure. It also wasn't Theo, I could tell. This voice sounded unfamiliar.

"Turn around lady." He said in a powerful voice. I was scared sh*tless.

I turned around to come face to face with a tall, muscular guy. He had a stubble and dark hair. He had a slight frown on his face. And his aura screamed danger. Might I say he was hot.
