Charlotte's POV.
We arrived at my house and Elijah quickly ran to sit in front of the TV.
"You want to watch something?" I asked and he nod his head. I quickly switched the TV on for him.
"So what do you want to eat Elijah?" I asked and he didn't move he just kept watching the TV. "Elijah I'm speaking to you. Your mom said you understand English, Slovak and Spanish. So please Elijah just say something."
"I want mommy." He spoke finally turning to face me. "Mommy is busy like daddy."
"Mommy would never be busy for you. I'll get mommy for you I promise okay." He quickly nod and I took my phone out and tried calling Sofia but she didn't pick up.
Sofia would never abandon Elijah especially when she's been hiding him for years.
I dialed Anna's number and she quickly answered my call.
"Did something happen to Elijah?" She asked before I could utter a word.
"No. But where the hell is Sofia?"
"She's-- I'll tell you tomorrow when I see you. So please just don't promise him anything you can't keep."
"What's that suppose to m----Hello." She hung up on me.
Now what do I even tell Elijah?
"What do you want for dinner Elijah?" I asked and he didn't speak. "Elijah please." I begged him getting on my knees in front of him.
"No." He said standing on the couch and helping me get up. "I love you Aunt Char."
"I love you too, but please you have to eat something. "
"Pancakes."
"But that's not what you can eat for dinner. Elijah pancakes isn't good for you." I explained but he covered his ears refusing to listen.
Fucking Benjamin ruined the poor child. I can't even believe he inherited almost everything from him.
"I'll get pancakes for you." I told him taking his hands off his ears and he smiled acting like he didn't do anything wrong.
I definitely can't make pancakes now and I bet my favourite pancake place is closed. The only person I know that has a chef other then Carlos is Jay but I can't let him see Elijah.
I dialed Jay's number and he answered. I just hope he isn't busy with a girl.
"Sister in law." Jay said laughing. He would always joke about Benjamin being his girlfriend even though none of them are gay. It would always make my day to see him annoy Benjamin but everything changed ever since Sofia left.
"Can you ask your chef to do me a favour please?" I asked.
"Well, you know his married."
"Jay Jay."
"Fine, sorry I forgot you don't joke around much anymore. Did Benjamin rub his disease on you?" He asked laughing.
"You think that's funny?" He never really changes, his jokes are so lame.
"Well, Yes after all I'm laughing. Okay Charlotte I'm sorry what does my favourite girl in the world?" He asked.
"You so fake Jay but please tell him to make pancakes and make sure a three year old would love it."
"I didn't know I was from China--" I cut the call before he asked about Elijah.
He definitely never changes.
