Damien's POV.
We arrived at the hospital and Tucker didn't take his eyes off me. He kept staring at me but I ignored him. I know he just wants me to talk to him but that won't happen.
We went straight to the doctor's office.
"Morning Damien." Dr. Kyla greeted me and I took a seat. "I see Tucker is here too."
"Can you tell him to leave, please." I asked and she smiled at me.
"I am happy to see you all together. I remember the times you, Benjamin, Tucker, and Diego would go fight undercover and lie to me about fighting with one another. I know Lily and Danielle would be surprised that you still all friends." She said.
"I came here for the check-up so can we stop talking about Benjamin." I hate the fact she still thinks Benjamin and I are best friends. "Tucker, wait outside for me. Dr Kyla will call you if she needs you here." Tucker got up and left the room. "I don't trust him so can you give me the results."
"Doesn't Tucker know you already had your check-up two days ago?" She asked and I shook my head. "The boy loves you a lot, you are like a brother to him so why do you keep important things from him?"
"Aunt, you know Tucker is emotional just like his brother. He will start controlling me and I don't want that. Only God knows how much Benjamin used to annoy me with my medicine. He never used to allow me to do anything, he treated me like a baby and I don't want Tucker and Diego doing that to me."
"You are playing a dangerous game, Damien. Your mother has the same ---." She paused hitting her head. "I mean she had the same problem as you. I still can't believe she is no more. I know if she was here she wouldn't want you to give up. You are twenty-five, you have your whole life ahead of you. You still need to get married, have kids, and enjoy your life. Don't do this to yourself."
"Are my results so bad?" I smiled at her and she opened my file.
"You know your heart condition is getting worse. You will need a heart surgery soon." She said.
"I don't want to have a heart surgery. I never go through that pain again." The pain I felt that day wasn't because of the surgery. I never felt pain no matter how bad the surgery was but that is because I had my family. I was a kid and I had no other choice but to get a heart surgery. I wouldn't have survived that night but I did because I promise never to leave my family.
"Damien I told you before if you going to keep stressing and doing illegal things than you going to need surgery. You were born with a heart problem but you never cared." She shouted.
"This has nothing to do with the fact I am part of the mafia." I snapped.
"Is it worth it Damien? Is it worth losing your life just to show your enemies that you are stronger? Your father thought money was survival, he thought money was everything until it destroyed your family. That dirty money killed your baby sister."
"You know nothing about my family so don't bring my sister into this." I shouted.
"Your mother didn't sacrifice her life for you to end yours. Your baby sister didn't die that day for you to be doing what killed her. Your father changed his life but it was too late so don't make his mistake. It's not worth being in the mafia and losing your life ones."
"You know Aunt, you are my parent's friend that is the only reason I tolerated you for so long. All you ever do is lecture me every time I come here. You think I am a big problem and I have issues but what about yourself. You tell people how to live their lives but you couldn't even tell your sons that. You only had two sons to look after but one of them became a successful businessman and eloped with a girl you refused to accept." She thinks she is perfect! I will show her how damage her family is without being part of the Mafia. "I was happy when I heard Thee Ryan Styles got married to a crazy girl. I never thought he would love someone more than his dear mother but life proved me wrong. When I heard she left him and took his money, I felt sorry for your family. Your son is an alcoholic that sleeps around, not me." I hit my head. "How can I forget you have another son. I always used to hear you sing his praises since I was a kid but I have never seen him successful."
