Chapter 38: Paranoia

"Oh my God what are we going to do?" Fiona asked, frustrated.

"Our plan has completely failed. It's supposed to be me who should have Jasmine in custody. Now we don't even know where she is, no clue and no idea. Claudia has demanded for so much money that we can't afford it and I'm afraid that she might expose us. To worsen it Jean-Clark you're not even doing anything!" Fiona wanted while pacing up and down.

"Now you're blaming me huh? What do I do Fiona? You know i don't live here, I'm not based here and I told you most of my boys are in Paris. I have connections there. If this happened in Paris I would have found out about Jasmine's whereabout quickly" Jean replied.

"Can't you send your boys over here?" Fiona asked.

"I've already tried that Fiona but they won't agree. They say they aren't ready to come to a place they aren't familiar with" Jean answered.

Fiona laughed sarcastically "Oh Jean I really don't know who's the boss here. Your boys are saying they can't come and you're cool with it. How's that?"

"Fiona. I'm their gang leader and they are my men and also my brothers not my puppets. What they're saying is reasonable Fiona. They can't carry out an emergency operation in an unknown place. I wouldn't have come here if you weren't with me. I treat them well and listen to them because they are valuable. The reason why I'm still their gang leader and haven't been overthrown" Jean shot back.

Fiona sighed and picked up her phone to call Claudia. "Argh! Switched off? Switched off! Damn Claudia. How are we going to cope with all this now ? How are we going to save ourselves if Claudia decides to expose us. What do we do?" Fiona spoke nervously.

"There is only one option. We have to get her out of the way. Out of the picture" Jean-Clark said after few minutes.

Fiona looked at him ghostly. She have not been able to stop the nightmares about Tony or even stopped seeing him move around and now they were about to do another one.

"We are going to have to kill her" Jean added.

"You hid all this from Jasmine and you say you love her. Well look at what you've done. She's in grave danger because of you" Carl said to Albert.

"Carl let's not dwell on that. Right now all that matter is how we would save Jasmine" Greg put in.

"It's too big for us to handle. We'll have to inform the police and him over right now" Carl suggested.

"No!" Albert suddenly blurted out.

"What are you doing? Alex is smart. He'll kill Jasmine then me then the two of you" he added.

"Okay then what do we do?" Carl asked.

"We'll have to come up with a plan. Strategic and foolproof. Alex has plenty men and somehow we'll have to get some during their operation through the police. I can help in identifying them. They will take us and the police to their hideout or to wherever they kept Jasmine but I'll be the bait" Albert finished.

"Hmm. Sounds like a good plan to me" Greg said thoughtfully.

Carl simply nodded his head.
