chapter 17; drunk reconcilation

Jasmine arrived home, it was dark inside. Everyone must be asleep by now. She was so unsettled and tired, but she didn't wanna sleep. She knew she couldn't because she would just km keep thinking about Carl, and she couldn't fathom why..

She kind of felt guilty and scared. Not guilty for annoying Carl but guilty of having feelings for two men and scared of choosing the wrong one when it is time to choose.

She removed her white heels and walked towards the entrance. Immediately she got in,she switched on the dim lights and headed to the bar picking up a bottle of Scotch and a glass.

She half-filled the glass and took a sip, she sat down on the bat stool. She looked but saw nothing. It all was in a blur.

A tap on her shoulder made her let out a small gasp. She turned around. It was fiona.

"Oh hey"Jasmine casually said. There was a look of great concern on Fiona's face"Jasmine..."she started"look at the time,it's really late"

"So why do you care?" Jasmine said nonchalantly and downed her glass. She poured herself another and took a big gulp.

"Because I am your sister and I love you"Fiona said.

Jasmine scoffed"yeah,really"she took a big gulp and topped it from the bottle.

Fiona gasped"Jasmine your are drinking"

"What's your concern!"Jasmine blurted out.

"Jasmine you are drinking!"Fiona said a little loud.

The empphasis did it. Jasmine looked at the bottle of scotch. She was drinking.

"Jasmine what is wrong?'' Fiona asked.

"Nothing"she replied.

"You hardly take in alohol and hou can't hold it up" fiona said.

"What...whay makes-'' Jasmine hiccuped"what makes you think I can't?"

"Because your words are beginning to slur. Jasmind you hardly drink so something's definitely up"Fiona said.

Jasmine took a sip

''Tell me sister what is it?" Fiona asked.

Jasmine downed the remaining and stood,staggering. Fiona helped her to balance but she pushed her off weakly and staggered to the couch and dropped into it. Fiona sat beside her.

"You tell me sister can you love two men?"

"I...I dony think so. Why?"Fioka asked.

"Then i must be a fool for having feelings for two men. You know carl and I have broken up right?"Jasmine asked.

"Yeah"Fiona replied.

"And i went out with a guy named Albert on dinner date right?"

"Yes Jasmine I remember"

"Did i tell you he asked me to be his girlfriend?" Jasmine asked.

"I guess so"Fiona shrugged her shoulders.

"Hmm. I accepted and thing's being going well until the incident"

"What incident?'' Fiona asked.

"At Albert's house"

"I dont understand"

"I was making out with Albert and"she hiccupped''I saw Carl through the window and now I feel guilty"

" oh"Fiona simply said.

"Did I do anything wrong? Am bad?"

"No sis you are not. Carl was the cheat,he broke yout heart first"
