chapter 20:Nemesis

Jasmime looked up from her work to see who it was that wanted to see as told by Daisy. She saw the door open and Albert walk through it. She smiled and relaxed back on her chair.

"Hey my love. I really wanted to see how you are doing" Albert started.

"I'm doing well thanks. Why?" She asked even if she already knew why.

"Well,I just have a feeling that you'll be devastated after Carl saw us makeout" Albert replied.

"No no really no"Jasmine chuckled"for goodness sake Albert,why would I be? We are dating  now right and we love each other so it's actually right for us to make out when we want to. It was just bad for Carl that he had to see it. Too bad. You know I kind of pity him even though he was the heartbreaker"Jasmine finished.

Albert shrugged saying"Alright. If you say so. I believe it is lunch time here in Blake's group of company. How about we go on a date have lunch together?"

"Hmm,that sounds wonderful. Give me a minute let me tidy up"Jasmine said and begun tidying up"Okay then I am done. Let's go" she stood.

"After you my love"Albert said and opened the door for her.

They got to the blake's restuarant in few minutes and got a table.

A cheerful waitress walked up to them"Good afternoon, please place your order"

Albert asked Jasmine"what would you want to eat my love?"

Jasmine smiled''you choose for me"

"Okay let's see. How about roast chicken served with a stew of green peppers,onions,tomatoes and courgettes?"Albert asked Jasmine.

''Absolutely"she replied.

"Alright Doris,get us that"Albert said

"Any drink?"Doris asked further.

Albert sent Jasmine a questioning look.

"Just water please"Jasmine said.

"Same for me"Albert said.

Doris nodded and left.

"How did you know her name?"Jasmine asked.

"Her name was engraved in a piece of metal that was attached to the left side top of her shirt and moreover,I work here"Albert answered.

"Oh"Jasmine simply said.

Doris came with their order"Enjoy your meal"she said and left.

They talked about many things. From Fiona's reconcilation with her to events that happened in the restuarant when Albert is working to the dream,hopes and plan for the future.

"Yeah and someday i'll do a show like the kind you find on Food Network,do you watch that?" Albert asked.

"Yes I do. My favourite is chopped,what is yours?"Jasmine asked.

"Mine are Drivers and Drive-ins,Beach bites with katie and restuarant impossible"Albert said.

"Wow. It will be amazing if you have a show like that"Jasmine told Albert.

"Yeah. It will be great"Albert said.

"Hey did you watch Chopped:Beat Bobby Flay?"Jasmine asked.

"Yeah I did. Bobby Flay almost fell when he slipped on some broken eggs. It was hilarious"Albert said.

"Yes but at the end he won"Jaamine replied.

"That man is sev-"Albert got interrupted by the vibration of his phone.

"Please excuse me"he said to Jasmine and answered"hello"

"Albert this is Kylie"the caller said.

Albert was astonished. How did.she get my contact?

He covered the speaker of the phone and whispered to Jasmine"excuse me". He went to a part of the restuarant where Jasmine wouldn't hear.

"What is it and how did you get my number"Albert asked sharply.

"Albert,don't talk to me like that"Kylie said.

Albert inhaled and exhaled"okag Kylie what do you want?"

"Good. There is something I need to discuss with you,it's important"Kylie said.

"Okay,i'm listening"he said.

"Albert this is not something we can discuss over the phone,you need to come over to the park "Kylie said.

"Oh God,Kylie I can't,i'm busy now"Albert replied.

"Just take an excuse,do something''Kylie suggested''Except if you want me to come over to your workplace"she continued.

"No no no, wait for me there" Albert said and hung up. He walked over to Jasmine"I'm so sorry my love,I have to go"

"Anything the matter my love?"Jasmine asked.

"Nothing you need to worry about,i'll call you"Albert said.

"Okay"Jasmine replied.

Albert kissed her briefly"Bye sweetheart"

"Hmm"Jasmine said.

Albert took a cab and dropped at the park,he paid the driver and walked into it. He didn't want to use his car. His eyes searches for Kylie. As he did this he took out his pocket and openex tbe contact app,searching for Kylie. As he did this, he spun around and bumped into a lady.

"Oh,i'm so-"He was saying but he got cut short mid-way his words when he looked up and saw who it was.

"Well well well. Who do we have here?"Jessie said.

Albert blinked. Jessie is a member of Venom's gang.

''Hello harry. Nice to see you" she continued.

Albert didn't say anything. He couldn't.

"Won't you sag hello to me huh? Come on don't be rude Harry or should I say,the snitch!"She said venomously.

Just then her phone beeped signifying a text message.

"Got to go,catch you up next time"Jessie said and walked away.

Albert licked his now dry lips nervously"what is this?"he asked himself quietly.

He needed to think. He turned around cancelling all his plans to meet Kylie;but then again he bumped into her.

"How long have you been here?"Kylie asked.

"Look,um,Kylie I need to go please"he said jitteringly.

"Did anything go wrong?"she asked.

"Can we talk another time okay? Thank you"Albert said and hurriedly left.

Kylie turned around to watch him go,she was stunned and hurt.
