Complicated. (...sort of)

Chapter 10

Hiccup's POV 

I walked back from Bucket and Mulch's farm to drop off the new eggs at the house. I walked at a slow but steady pace, jst kind of taking everything in. I know I've lived on this island all my life, but I've never explored it by foot. I've only explored it in the air. Once i got around the cliff I was near the back door. I kept walking forward towards the back door. I see no use in going all of the way around the house to the front door. I walked in and placed the eggs on the table.

"Astrid?" I called out. I didn't get a response so I strted walking towards the stairs. "AH!" I screamed as someone tapped my shoulders. I turned around and saw Astrid laughing behind me. "Astrid you scared me! I thought you were missing! And also ypou literally scared me." I said as my heart returned to a normal pace.

"Sorry Hiccup but I saw the chance to scare you and you know I can't resist one of those." She stated and stood up, still giggling.

"Yes I know you how could I not know you." I said. She shrugged and went into the kichen. "Hey I'm gonna go for a little flight wit Toothless. We haven't done any actual flying in a while."

"That means you're putting your life in danger with the stupid stunts you do doesn't it?" She said and placed the basket in a cabinet.

"Yes."

"Just be careful okay?" She said with concern.

"Oh please when am I not careful?" I said. She gave me a blank stare. "Uh, don't answer that."

"Be back in time to help me prepare Yak Nog for the Snoggletog celebration tomorrow." I got a chill as she said that. 

"Maybe we should make a few improvments on it. I mea its good but I think it can be a little better." I said nervously.

"That's a great idea Hiccup! We can work on it after your flight now go I'm sure Toothless is anxious." She said and pushed me towards the door.

"I'll be back in a bit." I said and kissed her cheek, then walked out the door.

Astrid's POV

Ok the eggs were the last ingredient i needed for Yak Nog! I should wait until Hiccup gets back to make it though. He loves this stuff! I heard someone walk in the front door so i poked my head out of the doorway.

"Oh hi Valka. What's up?"

"Oh I'm just looking for Hiccup. Do you know where he is?" She asked.

"He's out flying with Toothless since they haven't really been on a real flight in a while."

"Alright well tell him that I stopped by and when he's avaliable I need to talk to him about something." She said.

"Ok I'll tell him."

So what are you up to in there?" She asked.

"I'm making Yak Nog for the celebration tomorrow! Everyone loves it, especially Hiccup." I stated with pride.

"Oh Yak Nog! I remember when I triend that the week I came back to Berk. It was good but it needs some changes."

"Like what?"

"We could start with a little less yak. It can take over the taste of the other ingrdients. Try having more egg with less yak." She said and started going towards the door.

"Alright I'll see what it tastes like. Thanks Valka!" I said. She smiled and left the house. Hm, less yak, more egg. I could give it  shot.

Hiccup's POV

I was flying through seastacks and around the island and then I realized something, tomorrow is the Snoggletog celebration, and i don't have a gift ready for Astrid! OH great.
