Hiccup's POV

I finished hanging my father's helmet on the wall. I stood straight up and took a deep breath. I felt a hand get placed on my shoulder. I turned my head and saw Astrid, standing right next to me, looking at me. She gave me a small little smile. I shifted and faced her. At that moment the entire gang barged in, including Mercy.

"Hiccup we need your help!" Fishlegs said.

"Woah guys slow down what is it?" I asked.

"Toothless is missing Dad I cant find him in the normal spots he goes to." Mercy said.

"Cove?" She shook her head. "Forest? You know the tops of the trees?" She shook her head agin. "Allysa did you have Violet try calling him?"

"Yes and he responded, but he didn't come to us."

"Where did it sound like it was coming from?"

"The village around the town square but we already checked there and he wasn't anywhere on the ground. Wait, is his tail in automaic?"

"Yes it is and so isn't on the gound. He's gotta be flying around Berk. Spread out, twins take the south side. Fishlegs take the west side, Snotlout and Allysa, sorry Allysa, but go to the east. Astrid, Mercy and I will go to the North." They all nodded their heads and flew off. I rode behind Astrid and Mercy rode behind me. It's actually amazing Stormfly can hold all of us. Usually a dragon can only hold 2 riders. We landed in a clearing and we all climbed off Stormly's back. Well, Mercy sort of fell of.

"Okay he usually hangs out in this part of the village when we aren't flying so spread out. Astrid take your axe and Mercy take Stormfly in case anything happens." They nodded their heads and stated walking in different directions. I used thr Night Fury call and waited for a response. I heard one after about 1 minute. It came from behind me, and kind of far. I called again and went closer towards the responses.

After about 5 minutes of walking, I called one more time. The response sounded like it was right above me, but I didn't see anything. I was in the town square. I looked around for Toothless. All the villagers were at their homes or the Great Hall, probably eating dinner and settling down for the night. I called one last time and looked around. The response came from my right side, where the statue of my father stood tall. I looked at it and saw a black shape on his shoulder.

"Toothless come on come down here bud." I said. he stood and glided down, landing in front of me. He had a tired look smeared across his face. "Come on, let's go home." I said. We walked home as the sun set, side by side.

Astrid's POV

I woke up in the morning wet and smelly. (ew). I opened my eyes and saw the signiature gummy grin.

"Toothless are you serious this does not wash out how many times do Hiccup and I have to tell you that?" I said and stood up. I got into a fresh change of clothes and walked downstairs. Toothless followed me down the stpes, then cut off my path to the kitchen. "You're hungry aren't you?" He smiled and wagged his tail. (completely off topic but HAPPY BIRTHDAY BAND GEEKS! you know that episode of spongebob? yeah just turned 13 today. i feel old.)
