Chapter 33

Hiccup's POV

I flew down to Johann's ship once he was clear of that island. Once I laned I left Mercy on the saddle, since she was still somehow sleeping, and removed my helmet.

"Thanks again for everything Johann. You were a huge help." I said.

"Ah it's my pleasure! Anything to bring an innocent child back home." He replied cheerfully.

"We'll just head back to Berk to drop off the soldiers and you can be on your way."

"Can do Master Hiccup." He said and turned to his inventory. I turned around, climbed on Toothless, then flew back up to where the gang was.

"How is everything?" Astrid asked when I glided smoothly next to her.

"Everything's fine. Johann is headed towards Berk to drop off the men. Are you alright?" I asked her.

"I think so. Do I look okay?"

"You look perfect but I'm wondering how you're feeling." I sat and pat my stomach with my open hand.

"Oh now I get it! Oh yeah I feel fine." She said. "I just want to get her back home. We didn't get to celebrate." 

"I don't think she'll want to. This kinda leaves an ugly scar for birthdays."

"You think she won't want to celebrate her birthday again?" Astrid asked with a very concerned tone.

"We will let her make that choice. It's not ours to make."

"You're right. We'll wait until tomorrow and let her choose if she wants to celebrate or not."

Mercy's POV

I started to wake up when I felt I were in thin air. The breeze was flying fast through my hair. I opened my eyes slowly and only saw clouds. I was flying. But on what? Did I train a dragon then fall asleep when I was riding it? No. I couldn't have. I went to sleep in a tree. Upside down. I started to slowly sit up and look below me. All I saw was clouds and... Toothless?

"Toothless!" I shouted and wrapped my arms around his head. "Hey boy what happened?"

"We found you sleeping in a tree." Dad said from behind me. I immediately flung backwards and bear hugged him, causing him to fall backwards onto Toothless's back. (aw so sweet)

"How did you guys find me?" I asked.

"Well we found the handle to your bow and saw a symbol engraved into it. We looked it up in that book I have and found which island it belonged to." Dad explained. Wait a minute, where's Cody.

"Wait Dad we have to go back." I said.

"What? Why are you nuts?"

"I met someone and he saved my life a few times and we have to go back for him."

"You mean Cody? He's over with Allysa and Violet." Dad reassured and pointed in their direction. I saw him poke out from behind Allysa and wave at me with a smile. I gladly returned the smile and wave. (just smile and wave boys. smile and wave.) "I met him when I found you."

"Yeah there was another but I don't know what happened to him." I said and looked at my hands. They were covered in dirt, mud, dust and a little blood from my head. I quickly touched the dirty cloth around my head. "Wait do we have bandages?"

"In your mothers bags." Dad said. "Hey Astrid come here!" He shouted. They came over to use and mom smiled as wide as the ocean.

"I'm so glad to see you're okay! She shouted. "What do you need Hiccup?"
