Missing Memories (Tzuyu X TWICE)

Chapter 1

3rd Person POV

"TWICE's Tzuyu was seen rushed to the hospital by emergency services," TWICE's manager read the news article title.

The J-trinity rushed to the hospital with their manager after emergency services were called for Tzuyu. Everything felt surreal to them as they sat in a private waiting room. The girls had solemn expressions on their faces as they waited for a doctor to come tell them if their makane was okay.

The images of the accident played in repeat in their heads. One moment they were enjoying their time at the beach, bodyboarding, and then the next thing they knew, the lifeless body of their maknae washed up beside them. They were petrified by the scene and could not react at all. It was their manager's quick thinking that got Tzuyu out of the water and to call emergency services.

"We couldn't do anything..." Sana said in a low voice as the two girls beside her nodded in agreement.

"You tried to warn her what was coming. There wasn't anything else that you girls could have done," their manager said to try and keep the girls to remain calm.

"We shouldn't have left her alone in the water. We should have been there with her the whole time," Momo said in reply to their manager.

"No one could have pred--" their manager began to say before being interrupted.

"We are her unnies!" Mina interjected in an uncharacteristically loud voice, "We failed her..."

A tear began to roll down the side of Mina's face. She wiped it away, but another tear fell on the other side of her face. She wiped the tear again, but more and more tears started to fall before Mina began sobbing. She felt so useless and hated herself for letting the maknae get hurt.

Sana and Momo felt the same way as Mina. They also blamed themselves for what happened to Tzuyu. Tears also began to roll down their faces as they heard Mina sobbing. They tried to keep the tears back but eventually began sobbing as well when they could not hold it in any longer.

"I should have never suggested this trip," their manager thought as he lowered his head and held it between his hands.

Seconds become minutes before the sobbing died down to occasional sniffling. The minutes turned into an hour before the door to the room suddenly swung up, much to the surprise of everyone present.

"Sana! Momo! Mina!" Jihyo yelled as she came running in, "What happened?! Are you girls alright? Where is Tzuyu?"

The mention of Tzuyu's name caused the three girls to begin sobbing again. They jumped at Jihyo and hugged her, forcing her to balance their weight. The sudden hug surprised Jihyo, but her eyes soften as she began to comfort the three.

"There, there. It's okay. Our precious maknae will be okay," Jihyo whispered softly to the three girls in her arms as she held back tears, "She has to be okay," she thought.

Chaeyoung and Dahyun ran into the room a few minutes later. They saw the sobbing mess that their J-line unnie had become in Jihyo's embrace and began to assume the worst.

"Where is Tzuyu?!" Chaeyoung panicky asked.

"Is she okay?!" Dahyun asked hoping for her fellow maknae line member's safety.

The J-line were still sobbing and could not answer their question. Their manager stood up, alarming Chaeyoung, Dahyun, and Jihyo to his presence in the room. He retold what had happened starting with the idea of going bodyboarding up until now.
