Missing Memories (Tzuyu X TWICE)

Chapter 5

Jeongyeon's POV

My eyes fluttered opened as I felt the sun shine in to the room through the curtains. I instantly frowned when I saw that the space beside me was empty. Tzuyu must have woken up before me.

I got out of bed and checked the time. It was still early morning, so I went to do my morning routine. I finished quickly and walked out to the dining room.

The rest of the members were sitting around the dining table and eating breakfast. A smile formed on my face when I saw Tzuyu sitting at the end of the table.

"Good morning, sleepy head," Momo greeted.

I chuckled, "Good morning. Why didn't anyone wake me up?"

"Tzuyu told us not to," Mina replied in her calm tone of voice.

Tzuyu told them not to wake me up? I looked over to Tzuyu who was staring at me. We made eye contact momentarily before Tzuyu quickly averted her attention elsewhere. I frowned at the action.

I walked over and sat beside Tzuyu, "Good morning, Tzuyu."

"Good morning," Tzuyu said quickly before quickly grabbing her plate and running away to the kitchen.

She came out of the kitchen and told us that she would be in her room before quickly walking away. Did I do something wrong? I looked around the table to see the other members looking at me with raised eyebrows.

"What was that?" Sana asked.

"I don't know," I sighed.

"Something clearly happened between you two," Nayeon pointed out.

"Yeah, Tzuyu was smiling right before you walked in," Dahyun contributed.

Ouch.

I pondered for a moment, "I mean I confessed to her last night."

The room went completely silent. I looked around to see everyone staring at me in disbelief. This was probably a bad idea to tell them.

"You did what?!" they all yelled in sync.

"What do you mean? It's my turn to court her," I defended while covering my ears.

"Jeongyeon unnie, you should fix this," Chaeyoung stated.

"What do you mean?" I asked

Jihyo sighed, "Tzuyu is probably overwhelmed by your confession."

The other members nodded their head in agreement. What am I going to do now? Did I completely mess up? Is it too late to fix this?

"Just go talk to her," Nayeon said as if she could read my mind.

I nodded and stood up from my seat. My thoughts were a mess as I tried to think of something to say to Tzuyu. My feet stopped in front of Tzuyu's room. I knocked a couple of times on her door.

"Tzuyu?" I knocked a few more times but still got no response.

"Oh, Jeongyeon? If you are looking for Tzuyu, she went to the practice rooms," our manager suddenly said from behind me.

"Ah!" I screamed while clutching my chest in surprise.

"Jeongyeon! What happened?!" Jihyo came running over.

Our manager chuckled, "Jeongyeon didn't notice me behind her, so I accidentally scared her."

Mina appeared behind Jihyo, "Manager oppa, where did Tzuyu go?"

"Like I was telling Jeongyeon, Tzuyu went to the practice rooms," our manager replied.

"How did she leave without us noticing?" Sana asked.
