Tzuyu's POV
Jeongyeon and I just arrived back to the dorms. I was still feeling a bit overwhelmed by the fans that just swarmed us, but I was thankful that Jeongyeon unnie was there to protect me. It's a bit embarrassing to say, but she was really cool back there.
I was sitting in the living room on the couch while watching TV. Jeongyeon was making lunch for us in the kitchen. I don't remember much, but her dad was apparently a chef. Did her dad teach her how to cook?
Jeongyeon told me to wait here, but my curiosity got the better of me. I stood up from the couch and walked over to the kitchen. She was standing over the stove with an apron on. Jeongyeon really did look like a mother right now.
I quietly walked up behind her to see what she was cooking. She was stir-frying bulgogi while simmering tteokbokki in another pan. The smell was amazing, and I could feel my mouth watering.
I don't know what got the better of me, but I suddenly stepped forward. My arms wrapped around Jeongyeon as I back hugged her. She flinched at the sudden contact as I grabbed the chopsticks in her hand. I grabbed a piece of meat from the pan and ate it. The taste was out of this world.
"T-T-T-Tzuyu what are you doing?" Jeongyeon stuttered.
I tilted my head to the side as I look Jeongyeon in the eye, "I am hungry. Is that a problem?"
Jeongyeon shook her head as she took the chopsticks back from me and continued cooking. I don't know why but it seemed like she was bothered by my skinship. Even I don't know what was going on. This feeling was calming and familiar, but there was something weird about it.
I nuzzled my head into Jeongyeon's back to get into a more comfortable position. Her body tensed up when I did this. I looked up to see that she had stopped cooking.
"Unnie! You are going to burn the meat!" I yelled as I let go of her.
"What? Ah!" Jeongyeon moved the pan off the stove.
I let out a sigh of relief after checking that the meat wasn't burnt. I turned around to see that Jeongyeon was staring at me. She looked really frustrated with herself, but there was something else in her eyes.
Jeongyeon's POV
I can't believe it. What in the name of Jisoo Christ just happened? Tzuyu suddenly wrapped her arms around me in a back hug and grabbed some of the food I was cooking, and then she suddenly nuzzles her head into my back? My mind just went blank at the action.
If Tzuyu didn't suddenly yelled, I would have burned the bulgogi I was cooking. My heart was racing by everything that had just happened. Is this what I think it means or am I overthinking it?
"Jeongyeon unnie!" Tzuyu's yell pulled me back into reality.
"Wh-what?! Is everything okay?" I asked.
She giggled at my flustered speech, and I swore that was the most angelic voice I had ever heard, "Yeah, the meat is okay. Are you?"
I nodded my head before grabbing a plate and serving the bulgogi onto the plate. The tteokbokki was done simmering so I transferred it into a large bowl. Tzuyu grabbed some bowls and utensils and set it up at the dining table. I followed behind her and set our lunch down on the table.
Tzuyu sat down in a chair and was excited to eat. She didn't act like this before, but I guess my food must have been that good. I served her the food and she began to immediately devour it down.
"Is it really that good?" I asked with a smile.
"No, I'm just really hungry," she teased back.
I frowned at the reply as I served my own bowl but smiled on the inside at the progress that Tzuyu was making. This is the savage maknae that I know and love. I sat down across from Tzuyu and began to eat.
