Chapter 31

3rd Person POV

At The Same Time as the Meeting

Tzuyu was breathing heavily as she ran down the street. She stopped in front of a building and placed her hands on her knees to balance herself while she regained her breath. After a minute, she stood back up and looked up at the JYP building sign.

Tzuyu briskly walked into the building. The receptionist greeted her with a smile and bow; Tzuyu returned the greeting with her own greeting before walking through security. She walked into the elevator and pressed the button to go up to the practice rooms floor.

The elevator started moving and quickly stopped at Tzuyu's destination. Tzuyu ran out of the elevator and passed by many practice rooms. She stopped in front of one particular room and barged in.

The room was empty.

"Tzuyu, I have something important I want to talk to you about," the older girl said as she wiped the sweat off of her forehead before sitting down against the practice room mirror.

"Sure, what is it that you want to talk about, unnie?" Tzuyu asked as she sat down beside the older girl and took a sip from her water bottle.

"Well..." the older girl trailed off.

Tzuyu suddenly placed her hand on the older girl's shoulder, causing the older girl to flinch in surprise, "Unnie, you know you can tell me anything, right?" she reassured the older girl with a smile.

The older girl nodded before resolving herself, "Here it goes then. I love you, Tzuyu. Ever since the first day I met you, I have been in love with you. Would you like to be my girlfriend?"

The smile on Tzuyu's face was replaced with a frown before she let out a sigh, "I'm sorry unnie; I just don't feel the same way."

Tzuyu snapped out of her flashback. Her legs started moving as if they had a mind of their own. She went down the elevator and ran out of the building, getting a confused look from the receptionist that she had greeted earlier.

Tzuyu's legs took her to a cafe near the JYP building. She entered the cafe and took a look around. The cafe was rather small, but it had a warm comforting vibe to it. She walked further into the cafe before stopping in front of a table at the back of the cafe.

"Unnie! Over here!" Tzuyu yelled as she waved towards the older girl.

The older girl smiled as she rushed over to Tzuyu before taking a seat in front of the younger girl, "I was surprised that you wanted to hang out with me."

Tzuyu's eyebrows furrowed as she sat down, "Why is that?"

The older girl twiddled her thumbs before letting out a sigh, "Well... Because you know? I confessed to you and you rejected me?"

Tzuyu let out a giggle before placing her hands on the older girl's hand, confusing the older girl, "Look, unnie. Just because I don't share the same feelings as you, doesn't mean I don't care about you. You still have a special place in my heart, and I don't want that to go away."

The older girl blushed at Tzuyu's words, "Okay..."

Tzuyu smiled at the older girl, "Now let's order something to drink."

Tzuyu found herself walking out of the cafe with a latte in her hand. She took a sip of it before quickly spitting it back into her cup. She started fanning her tongue that was now burning. Her tongue started to cool down and she blew on her latte before taking another sip of the now cooler drink.
