3rd Person POV
It had been a long grueling day for the members of TWICE that had schedules. They had been constantly on the move since leaving the dorm in the morning, going from one location to the other. They only had time to take a break to eat lunch before splitting off to complete their individual schedules.
Jihyo was the first to complete her schedule for the day. She was fortunate that her day was mainly filled with interviews. The interviews were a piece of cake for Jihyo, but it was tiring to answer the same question repeatedly: what is the current situation with Tzuyu? She enjoyed talking about her members, but she felt like a broken record by the end of it all.
It was around dinner time by the time Jihyo's manager dropped her off at the dorms. She thanked her manager with a smile while waving him off. She dropped her smile and let out a tired sigh once the vehicle turned the corner.
Jihyo began to walk into the dorms. Her legs felt like lead as she trudged up the staircase to their dorm. She was excited to be able to jump onto her bed and take a quick nap before the other members arrived back to the dorms, forgetting that two members were free today.
Jihyo punched the passcode into the door lock and turned the handle. She walked into the dorm and closed the door behind her. She started taking off her shoes when she suddenly heard a sound coming from within the dorm.
The sound was faint, but Jihyo could clearly hear something. Jihyo was surprised as she knew without a doubt that she would be the first to arrive at the dorms. She cautiously reached for the umbrella beside her and began to quietly walk towards the living room.
Jihyo's heart raced every step she took forward. Jihyo clutched the umbrella tighter as the sound became louder and louder. Her eye widened in surprise when the sound became loud enough for her to realize that it was someone sobbing.
Jihyo hoped that she was imagining the sound, but she dropped the umbrella that she was holding in pure shock when she arrived in the living room. She found Tzuyu crying while sitting on the couch. Her heart sank as she rushed to the side of the younger girl.
Jihyo instantly enveloped the younger into a comforting hug. Tzuyu nuzzled into the new found warmth as she let her tears out. Jihyo stroked the girl's back to try to calm the girl down while trying to prevent herself from letting out her own tears.
For some reason Jihyo had always had a soft side for Tzuyu. Ever since their first encounter when Jihyo made a mistake while trying to speak to Tzuyu in Chinese, she had wanted to protect the younger. Maybe it was because she was younger than her or maybe it was because she was the group's maknae; Jihyo was not sure herself.
A few minutes passed before Tzuyu's sobs started to die down into periodic sniffles. Jihyo's shirt had become soaked in the younger's tears, but she did not mind it at all. Tzuyu broke away from Jihyo's hug to look at the older who was staring back with a comforting smile.
"Better?" Jihyo asked while rubbing the younger's arm.
"Y-y-yeah," Tzuyu hiccupped.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Jihyo tilted her head to the side.
Tzuyu nodded her head, "Yesterday... Jeongyeon unnie confessed to me..."
Jihyo pretended to be shocked even though she already knew this, "Was that why you avoided her this morning?"
The younger nodded in reply, "That's why I went to the practice rooms to clear my mind. I practiced some of our choreographies and remembered the good feeling I had when performing with the other members... but then..."
