Missing Memories (Tzuyu X TWICE)

Chapter 3

3rd Person POV

Jeongyeon was sitting at the dining table the next morning, eating breakfast by herself. She was lost in thought and was stabbing her food absentmindedly, not noticing that someone was approaching her.

"Good morning, unnie," Tzuyu yawned as she sat across from Jeongyeon.

Jeongyeon was flustered by how cute Tzuyu looked, "M-m-m-morning."

"Where is everyone else?"

"Schedules. We both have a free day, today."

A silence formed between the two of them. Tzuyu made herself a bowl of cereal and began eating. Jeongyeon just stared at Tzuyu as the younger ate.

"Is there something on my face, unnie?" Tzuyu asked when she noticed Jeongyeon's staring at her.

"N-n-nothing at all..." Jeongyeon stuttered with blushing cheeks, "Actually... Do you want to go to the mall with me?"

Tzuyu thought for a second before smiling, "Okay, let's do that."

"That was easier than I expected," Jeongyeon thought as she let out a sigh of relief.

The pair finished their breakfast and washed the dishes together. They went to get dressed before calling their manager. Their manager arrived shortly after and drove the pair to the closest mall.

"Don't forget to wear your hat and mask," their manager reminded them before they got off the car.

The pair nodded and put on their hat and mask before getting out of the car. Their manager told them to call him when they were done and then drove off. Jeongyeon looked at how beautiful Tzuyu looked as they walked into the mall.

Tzuyu turned to Jeongyeon, not noticing how the older was checking her out, "Where should we go first?"

Jeongyeon snapped out of her fantasies and coughed, "Let's go check out some clothes."

Tzuyu nodded and the pair walked into the closest clothing store. Jeongyeon started looking around as Tzuyu followed behind her. The younger looked at the different pieces of clothing as she walked, showing no interest in them.

"I'm going to try these on," Jeongyeon told Tzuyu as she showed the clothes that she was holding.

Tzuyu sat on the bench outside of the changing room as she waited for Jeongyeon. She became lost in her thoughts. There was a lot for Tzuyu to think about as she was confused about everything that was happening. The amnesia was making Tzuyu weary about everything around her. She contemplated rejecting Jeongyeon's request earlier, but she did not want to disappoint her unnie.

Tzuyu snapped back to reality when Jeongyeon walked out of the changing room. She looked over Jeongyeon's coordination. The older girl was wearing a pink hat, pink sweater with a white shirt underneath, blue jeans, a wrist watch, and brown boots. Jeongyeon looked nervous as the younger eyed her over.

"What do you think?" Jeongyeon asked.

"It lo---" Tzuyu began to say before clutching her head due to a sudden headache.

Jeongyeon rushed to Tzuyu's side, "Tzuyu! Are you okay?!"

"I'm fine," Tzuyu showed Jeongyeon a smile to reassure her, "Just a sudden headache. I think I remembered something by looking at your outfit."

Jeongyeon was surprised, "What did you remember?"

"Something about 'boyfriend'?"

"That's right, Tzuyu! You are remembering something! This is the same coordination that Sana and Chaeyoung got me to wear for the boyfriend dress segment for our TV show!" Jeongyeon exclaimed more excited than she had intended to be.

Tzuyu smiled at the praise from Jeongyeon. The older decided to buy the coordination and the pair walked out of the store. They walked around the mall window shopping while making small talk.

The pair walked through a busy area of the mall. Jeongyeon had forgotten to put back on her mask after changing in her excitement that Tzuyu remembered something. Fans started to notice the pair and realized who they were.

"It's JeongTzu!" a fan suddenly yelled, causing a group of people to surround the pair.

"Are they on a date?!"

"Can we get a picture with you two?"

Jeongyeon kept a smile on as the fans bombarded them with questions. She quite enjoyed how excited the fans were just by seeing them in public. She started interacting the fans by answering their questions and taking pictures with them.

Tzuyu suddenly pulled on Jeongyeon's sleeve, making the older look towards her. Jeongyeon noticed the discomfort on Tzuyu's face. The younger was obviously overwhelmed by the sudden crowd around them. Jeongyeon pulled Tzuyu into her arms in a protective manner, causing the younger to blush and the crowd to squeal.

Jeongyeon turned to the crowd, "I'm sorry everyone, but can I ask everyone to leave us alone?"

The fans looked disappointed, "I want to thank everyone for supporting us, and I do want to entertain everyone; but Tzuyu is still recovering from her injuries and is finding the situation a bit overwhelming."

The fans looked at Tzuyu and understood what Jeongyeon meant. They thanked the pair and apologized for bothering them before dispersing. Jeongyeon let go of Tzuyu, but the younger was still holding on to Jeongyeon's sleeve.

"Thank you," Tzuyu said shyly before releasing her grip on Jeongyeon's sleeve.

Jeongyeon was screaming inside at how cute Tzuyu was being, "It's nothing. It's part of my job as the group's girl crush to protect her members," she said before striking a cool pose.

Tzuyu giggled at Jeongyeon's silliness. Jeongyeon smiled as she knew that the younger was getting more comfortable around her again. Not only that, but Tzuyu remembering something new was an accomplishment for Jeongyeon.

"Let's go?" Jeongyeon asked as she held her hand out.

Tzuyu held Jeongyeon's hand, "Sure."

The pair continued to walk around the mall. This time they had their hands intertwined. Jeongyeon savoured the soft feeling of Tzuyu's hand in her own. Time flew by before they ended up back at where they started.

They decided that it was time to head back to the dorms for lunch. The pair walked out into the parking lot to find that their manager was already waiting for them. They entered the car and was driven back to the dorms.
