I quickly punch in the keycode to my tube as I sit up in the steam. I almost fall off the counter I was placed on, but quickly regained my strengh to stand up properly. I looked around my area, realising that I was in some kind of labratory. Horrid memories of painful expeirments and training filled my mind and I couldn't stand being in this place no longer. I sprinted towards the tube my father was kept in, and peered down to see that he was peacefully sleeping. His heart rate and breathing were stable, so I said my farewells with a relieved heart.

Running away through the long bright halls were painful to my eyes but it feels fresh to have air blowing around my body once again. I take little notice as some of the few people looked at me with wide eyes, but what I was only concerened with was to get out of here and find a place to hide. Maybe after that I'll hyjack a ship and use it to gain access to The Maker's ship.

It's not long till alarms were sounding off and the halls started to lower doors to prevent me from going any futher. But thanks to my "super" genes that I have inhereted from my father, the doors were like paper. I tackled myself through the doors and came to a halt, seeing that in front of me was a group of people which had guns in there hands, ready to fire any time.

For now, I don't want to cause any unneccesary damage to anyone, so I punched out the cable that sent energy for the lighting, leaving the confused men wandering in pitch black. For me, the darkness was nothing, as I sprinted through the crowd and made my way to find the exit.

After a few minutes of running, I come across a room, larger and more sophisticated than the other rooms I had run by. I can't see any people, but what caught my eye and lured me in to investigate was a screen that has my father's face on it. I come closer to it in confusion and read the text beside it.

"Operation The Maker, wake him and use his people against him if neccessary, eliminate The Maker, transfer technology to Starfleet."

I stumble to the floor at the mention of my father and his possibility of being in danger. As I look at the other picture that was below the short text, I see a map of a laboratory inside a building, which I found out that it was the building I was in right now.

"  I guess we're still just objects to be used. " I sigh to myself. I noticed I had spent more time than I was planned to and started to shift to get up on my feet again.

"Put your hands where I can see them and get on your knees. SLOWLY."

As soon as I heard the man's voice, I could tell he was somewhat armed, so I did what he said. I look up to see a man with blond and brown hair, piercing eyes, and a strong build. I don't see any way this man would have the courage to kill me. His eyes were too kind and soft towards me.

Just as my knees were about to hit the floor, I extended one of them and lashed it out to the man's shin. He fell on his side and let out a grunt but soon recovered and got up to fight back. Of course, he was too slow for me, so I hit him hard across the face. Humans, they really don't know who they're going against. I lowered my face to be the same level as his. I didn't want to really hurt him. I was a one of a kind in my family. My sympathy for other people was a bit too much, which ended up me being the loser of most fights, even though I knew I was the strongest. The man looked into my eyes with suprisement.

"You know" he whispered, " you should be in your tube right know."

"Yeah, but I have things to do. My name is Devlan. Yours?"

I introduced myself, thinking that it might stop him from lashing out at me. He seemed to be suprised once more at my action, but quickly replied.

"My...... My name is Jim."

"Well, nice to meet you Jim, but I need to get going."

As I smiled to him, I got up and ran towards the window. I heard him shout for me to stop, but I ignored him and went crashing into the glass. I successfully landed upon a flying vihicle, and thought to myself, well that was cool of me back there.
