September 2nd 2000, 06:00 (a.m.)

As predicted, Eva woke up quite early as a result of her excitement. Her classes did not start till 09:00, as it was the first day. And the first class would be History of Magic, so most probably she would have fun learning about the past of this whole new (at least to her) world. She decided to get ready and then take a better look at her room, trying to figure out what decorations she would adorn it with. But as she got closer to the window, she got enchanted by the view, so ended up admiring the serenity of the school grounds in the morning. After a while her alarm went off, informing her that it was time for breakfast. She grabbed her schoolbag to be ready for class and went out of the tower. She was surprised to see that someone was waiting for her at the entrance of the Ravenclaw Tower.

"Good morning you! How did you sleep?" Aristea greeted her with a wave and a big smile on her face

"Oh! Good morning! Pretty nice, I was very tired last night. How about you?" she waved and smiled back

"Me too. And today I came to collect you and show you the way to the Great Hall in case you forgot. If not, well, we'll have each other's company!" Aristea winked

"Hahaha thanks!" Eva replied and both girls started laughing

They started descending the stairs and walking towards the Great Hall. As predicted, it was full of noise coming out of the students' mouths. The tables of each House were exactly at the same places as the previous day, but students were sitting in various positions, either making new friends or hanging with their old ones. In search of a place to sit, both girls scanned the tables of the Great Hall, but stopped when they spotted a little girl sitting alone and far from the others. Eva did not fail to recognize the face of the kid. She was Athena, the girl she had met during the Sorting Hat Ceremony. She looked at Aristea and proposed

"What would you say if we went and sat with her? I met her yesterday and she seems a really nice person."

"Of course, I was about to ask you the same. Not because I know her, but she's all alone."

And with that they walked towards the girl

"Hello Athena! How are you today?" Eva waved at the girl

"I'm fine, how about you?" Athena waved back

"I'm good. Mind if we sit with you? Oh, this is Aristea by the way."

"Of course, come on. Hello Aristea! Nice to meet you." Athena extended her hand to Aristea

"Nice to meet you too!" Aristea shook Athena's hand while sitting down

"So why are you sitting all alone today?" Eva asked with curiosity

"Well, actually I arrived shortly before, and I haven't really met anyone from my House yet, so I decided just sitting here." Athena explained shrugging her shoulders

"Oh. Well, I haven't really met anyone from my House either, apart from a girl that had a quite bad attitude. But that was in the Hogwarts Express." Eva answered

"To be honest I have greeted quite a few kids from my dorm today. But nothing really special. Anyways, we will surely meet more people in here. Now, should we have something for breakfast? In a bit we'll have to get to class. Oh! By the way, all four Houses are sharing classes starting this year. At least for the mandatory classes. I don't know the exact reason they're doing it but it's nice cause we'll get the chance to be together in class as well." Aristea explained

After that, all three girls started eating their breakfast while talking for different things. When finished, they got up and walked out of the Great Hall, heading for their first class. As they were talking and laughing they did not notice a tall black figure approaching them.
