Chapter 15 – The Fourth Help from Destiny

Have you ever acted like a insecure jealous girlfriend when hindi ka naman girlfriend para umaarte ka ng ganun?

Well… ewan ko ba pero I think I’m acting like one right now! Hindi ko alam pero since last night I just can’t think anything else except the fact that they know each other. Ok nakakalito na siguro yung sinasabi ko.

Kanino ba ako nagseselos? Well no other than my girl best friend Patricia or Pat. You see kahapon my childhood friends visited me here sa bahay nila Kim to convince me na sumama sa Friendship Day namin, I know it sounds lame na may Friendship Day kami, I really don’t want to celebrate our friendship day because it just reminds me that wala na yung best friend kong si Louie and he’s never coming back.

So enough about missing Louie, the point of their visit yesterday was really about convincing me to go with them to Louie’s grave and there we’ll celebrate our friendship day that Louie started when we were young. But it so happen that they didn’t know that someone is actually courting me and I’m living in his house and so they decided they should meet the guy!

Lani, Louie’s twin sister reprimanded me about many things yesterday. Kasi since Louie died, I haven’t been in touch with them, it brings back memories. Kaya nga nagdecide din sila na pumunta na kasi nga gusto nila mag bond daw kami. And so we bonded.

Wala naman si Kim that day eh, hapon na siya umuwi nun galing practice. Pero when he arrived pinakilala ko isa isa sila Lani, Elle, Cass and of course Pat.

And nagulat nalang kaming lahat nung parang namukaan nila yung isa’t isa, nagulat pa nga si Kim that time and so did Pat, she blurted out “Aspen Guy” and that moment napatingin ako kay Lani because nanlaki yung mata niya, siniko siya ni Cass that time at nagkatinginan pa sila. Then si Elle nagtanong kung magkakilala silang dalawa and they said they met in Aspen during the Holidays.

And so nagusap pa silang dalawa that time habang kami naman nila Lani ay nagpunta sa may poolside kasi yung dalawa busy. Tumayo ako at naglakad papasok uli ng bahay nang marinig ko sila Lani. They were whispering pero rinig ko kasi ako pa.

Anyway they were saying “I can’t believe this siya yung Aspen Guy?”asked Cass

“Who would have thought within reach lang pala si Aspen Guy.” Said Elle.

“Small world.”Lani commented.

Anyway naguluhan pa ako that time, I was really thinking hard anong meron dun sa Aspen! What happened in Aspen! Umalis na sila and Pat seemed so happy and so did Kim.

Hindi ko na kinausap si Kim that night, sobrang gulo kasi nung mga naiisip ko, nagisip lang talaga ako and then it hit me.

Aspen Guy

Nakwento na siya sa akin dati ni Pat, I wasn’t really listening to her kasi all she do is brag about her trips across the Pacific and whatever. Pat is something. Homeschooled si Pat because her parents are always travelling and sinasama nila si Pat and that’s why ganun. She always travel.

So ayun nga nagkukwento si Pat that time, but I was really preoccupied with something nagaway kasi kami ni Louie that time, at talagang hindi niya ako pinapansin ganun din ako, alam ko naman kasing una siyang magso-sorry sa akin pero ilang days na wala paring sorry. So anyway ayun nga she’s talking about her spring break in Aspen. Her parents were doing business in Colorado and she decided to go to Aspen alone and ski! We were eating out kasi we’re waiting for our friends to come at kaya hindi ako nakikinig kasi nagiisip ako kung paano makikipagbati kay Louie.
