A week later
Dear Diary,
I'm finally home now, and it definitely feels good. I still have to take it easy but at least I was home and not in a hospital. It felt nice to write down everything again, I've always been used to writing everything down since I was a little girl. I guess I should say something about Damon shouldn't I? We agreed to a date tonight. I refused to wait any longer, i've already waited two weeks for this. So i'll write again tomorrow.

I slipped my diary back into my nightstand as Jeremy appeared in my doorway. "Hey Lena, can we talk for a moment?" I pat the spot next to me on my bed, "Sure." He crawls onto my bed and places one of my pillows in his lap, "Is everything okay Jer?"

"Yeah, i'm just worried about you."

"Jer i'm okay. I'm healing, i'm home. There's no reason to be worried about me." I grab his hand and give it a small squeeze, "I don't want you to worry about me okay?"

"I was scared when I found out you got an accident you know? When Aunt Jenna got the call that was one of the worst calls ive gotten in my life since we found out about our parents. I thought you were gonna die." He grabs my hand back as he looks down at the pillow.

"Jer, hey, look at me." I slip my hand under his chin and tilt his face till our eyes meet. "I'm not gonna die you hear me? I'm not gonna leave you for a long time okay? I promise you'll always have me." I pull him in for a hug and he wraps his arms around me softly.

"I love you Jer."

"Love you too Lena."

"Okay now get out, I have a date to get ready for." He laughs, "Fine fine." He kisses my cheek before disappearing to his room.

I quickly jumped out of my bed and went into the bathroom. I stripped out of my clothes before stepping into the shower. I let the hot water run down my body. I looked at my side with the broken ribs.

Bruises still covered my side but some of them were starting to yellow. As I looked down more I looked at the cast that covered my leg. I hated that but I was just happy I could shower and that both my casts were waterproof.

I quickly finished up my shower then got out and walked over to my closet. I pulled out a short black dress. It had a slit in the front and in the back it was low and had straps detail.

I slipped it on then stood in front of my body mirror. I had to admit I cleaned up pretty well after being in a car accident. I went back to my bathroom and put on some light makeup and put a necklace on.

I went back out to my room and checked the time on my phone. It was 4:50. Damon should be here any minute now. I grabbed my purse and wallet then made my way down stairs.

I heard my aunt whistle at me as I made my way down the stairs. I laughed as I seen her standing in the kitchen. "Elena you look beautiful!"

I smiled back at her, "Thank you, it's not to much is it?" I gave her the best twirl I could with my leg as she made her way over to me. "No it's perfect, Damon is gonna love it."

"Is it bad that i'm so nervous? I feel like I shouldn't be, it's just a date."

"No it's okay to be nervous it is your first date with him. Just make sure your home by midnight okay? No later then that."

I nod then give her a hug. She wraps her arms around me as we hear a knock at the door. "That must be him." I pull away from my aunt and open the door.

Damon was smiling at me as soon as I swung open the door. He also cleaned up pretty nice. He dressed in a black button up with a pair of dark jeans. "Wow, uh Elena you look beautiful."
