~Tifa's POV~
"You didn't have to stay behind with me," Vincent speaks up after forever.
"I wanted to. Last time I went in there, I couldn't sleep for weeks," I shudder.
"What? Tifa Lockhart getting nightmares? That's impossible," he says in fake shock.
"Well, I'm human too," I defend.
"What do you mean too?" He raises an eyebrow. "I'm half a demon thing, remember? Chaos?"
"Right," I nod, feeling bad for him. Even if he doesn't mind, it would suck for me if I was half demon.
"It's not that bad," he practically reads my thoughts. "Actually makes me feel kinda superior." He laughs, shaking his head. "Sucks that I end up scaring people off though."
"You don't scare us off," I point out.
"Some of you, yes. For instance, Barret. I know I give him the creeps. Cid doesn't talk to much, not that I care. He can get pretty annoying with his 'I'm so old so you need to do everything for me,' act."
"That does get pretty annoying."
"Do you want to punch him in the face?" he smirks and raises an eyebrow.
"Yes, sometimes I do," I laugh.
"So... you're not the least bit creeped out by my monster half and red eye crap?"
"Nope," I shake my head. "The monster half can save people's butts, and I find the color of your eyes..." I search for the right word.
"Different?"
"Intriguing," I nod.
"Well that's not the usual response," he chuckles. "I'm used to hearing 'scary, creepy, weird, different, odd, demonic, monstrous' that sort of thing."
"But that's not true, they're cool. Those people are just jealous," I smile.
"What ever you say, Tifa," he sighs. I shake my head and look around the tiny submarine, cringing at the thought of having to cram us all in.
"Hey, what are..."
The door flings open and I jump out of my chair to defend myself, but Vincent blocks me with the ratty red material he wears over his back. His gun is already loaded in the intruder's face.
"Whoa there," I here a voice say. Cait Sith.
"Next time warn me," Vincent says deeply before flipping his gun down on his finger and jamming it in it's holster. Then he drops his cloak, revealing Cid, Cait Sith and his mog, which is carrying RedIIX.
"What happened?" I shudder at the sight of the animal's blood on his orange body.
"Kadaj," is all Cid says.
"Wait... Where's Loz? And Yazoo," I add in a low voice, cringing.
Yazoo tends to be more... feminine than his brothers. I think he would end up being a girl if he didn't have some of Sephiroth's traits. I mean, they all are parts of Sephiroth's whole... Wait, then how did I see the remnants and Sephiroth separate in the mansion...? How is that possible? Maybe it had to do with that disappearing trick thing?
"We don't know, obviously he wouldn't tell Cloud," Cait Sith shrugs.
"Cloud... Is he okay!?" I blurt. Vincent clenches his jaw, but hides it behind his huge collar.
"I don't know," Cud shakes his head. "Barret made us leave."
"Barret?" I frown.
"Yeah, Barret and Yuffie stayed behind to help," he shrugs.
