~Tifa's POV~

I flop down on the bed of the rental home Cid is making Cloud pay for. Which makes no sense, since Cid is the one holding us up. But oh well. It feels nice to be in an actual house. Vincent, Red, Cait, and I are all sharing a house while Yuffie, Cloud, Barret, and the kids are in another. There were supposed to be three houses, but apparently the third was already taken by tourists, so the larger half of the group got the bigger house. Rocket Town has pretty much turned itself into a tourist attraction anyway.

"We should go do something tonight," Vincent says, laying down on the mattress and resting the back of his head on his hands.

"Like what?" I ask, taking my shoes off.

"Something normal people do, I don't know." He shuts his eyes.

"You know what I wanna do?"

"Hmm?"

"Walk barefoot in the grass."

"Then go do it."

"I am," I laugh, walking outside. Red lays in the shade and watches all the butterflies in Cloud's yard flutter around the bushes. Trust me, not wearing shoes outside might not be a big deal to you, but it's a rare occasion for me. We always have to be ready to fight, and it's hard to kick someone to death with nothing on your feet, especially if it's raining. Yes, I have done that before, by the way.

After walking around the town and saying hello to the people I recognize, I walk back inside and go back upstairs to see Vincent laying on the bed shirtless and watching some murder show.

"What the heck?" I laugh, laying my gloves on the bedside table.

"What?"

"With the no shirt and murder thing you got goin on there."

"I can't be a guy every once in a while?" He pouts.

"Are you a girl the rest of the time?" I frown.

"Nope, unless you like to roll down that road...."

"No thanks," I shake my head.

"You sure? Don't worry, I'll still love you," he chuckles.

"Uh..." I blush, my heart fluttering.

"Not like that," he reassures me. "There's a difference between loving someone and being in love with them."

"I know," I sigh, sitting up against the headboard. Surprisingly, I feel a little disappointed. Maybe we all keep secrets from the ones we love sometimes. I've been keeping mine for when the time is right.

"So where did you want to go tonight?"

"I don't know," I shrug. "There's not much to do to hang out around here."

"You know I meant as a date, right?" He laughs as my face gives the answer away.

"Whoops..."

"You're an idiot," he laughs.

"Well thanks," I scoff, standing.

"No! Come back!" He whines, reaching for my arm lazily. "I didn't mean it!"

"I'm sure," I tease, ignoring his plea.

"Please!" He begs playfully.

"Why?"

"Cuz I don't wanna be alone ever again," he pouts. The fact that he has blood red eyes ruins the sad puppy face he's trying to pull on me, but I sit back down anyway. This time he sleepily holds onto me, kissing my cheek. I roll my eyes and push him away, though I don't bother to hide the soft smile playing on my lips. He pretends to be offended and tries to ignore me, but I repeatedly poke his face.
