~Vincent's POV~

"What did you drug that kid with?" I hear Cid talking to Yuffie. I close my eyes, the sun's perfect warmth coating my face. I don't usually get to be outside, sometimes I just don't enjoy it. Most of the time, I'm running for my life, picking a fight with someone, or just trying to escape people. I've always been a pretty solitary person, and it's hard to always be surrounded by people.

"None of your business, we should probably go though. I don't want anymore flies on him. It's not like he's dead."

"He smells like blood, what do you expect?" I raise an eyebrow.

"What do you want me to do about it? I'm not scrubbing his cuts with ocean water," the short girl crosses her arms.

"All least it might wake him up," I shrug.

"I don't want him to wake up, I want to get him in the Highwind so I can take care of RedIIX."

"Is he still asleep?" I try to see over Tifa's head, but I can't.

"Yeah," Cid nods. "Pretty sure. Hey Red! You awake!?" he yells.

"Dude," Yuffie scolds, hitting his arm. Then she points to Tifa. "She's trying to get some sleep."

"Ah, Vinnie's the ladies man now," Cid wiggles his eyebrows.

"Maybe I always was and you never noticed," I smirk.

"Maybe," he shakes his head and looks back at Cloud. "At least get Barret to carry him."

"Fine. Go get him."

"Fine," he glares at her and stomps away like an angry teenage girl.

"Boys," Yuffie rolls her eyes. "Rather, forty year old pilots that act like teenagers."

I laugh and look back down at Tifa. Her eyebrows go down and then up again, and then her finger twitches. If we're getting back on the Highwind soon, I might as well wake her up.

"Tifa," I shake her. "Wake your lazy butt up."

"Hmm?" She sits up quickly, her eyes half closed.

"We're getting back to the Highwind," I nod towards the huge silver airship.

"Okay," she blushes, looking at my chest. What is with her?

"Stop looking at my man breasts." I glare at her playfully.

"I'm not! You make that sound so wrong," she covers her face.

"It is wrong, you little nasty!"

"Cmon," she rolls her eyes and stands up. I tug my shirt back over my head and buckle the... buckles before following the struggling Barret and grumpy Cid. Bipolar much?

"Who's got Red?" I speak up.

"Cait took him in earlier," Barret glances back at me.

I nod and play with one of the loose buckles on my collar absentmindedly. While Yuffie immediately turns to the 'clinic' room, Tifa, to my pleasure, seems torn between following Cloud and staying with me.

"Go on he'll probably want to see you when he wakes up," I nod in Yuffie's direction.

"I have a feeling he'll want to see someone else more," she sighs, looking at the corner where they disappeared from view. "Plus I'm pretty hungry."

I nod for her to follow me and we start walking in the direction of the kitchen. I feel like I have just made my vocal cords explode. I honestly haven't talked this much in ages, it's weird for me to be holding long, humorous conversations, even though these people practically saved me from a dark place I felt forced to enter. I don't know, I just need a break from all the talking. It's driving me insane. I might end up speaking in another century. I mean, I am immortal, no thanks to Hojo. Sometimes I want to bring him back to life just to strangle him. A bit harsh? Not even close to what he put me and Lucrecia through.
