~Tifa's POV~

"I didn't sleep last night," Barret grumbles.

"Neither did I," Vincent yawns, shaking his head. "Someone was messing with our front door or something."

"Us too," Barret shoots Cloud a look.

"I kept getting up to check it out," Cloud shrugs. "There was nothing there."

"He did," Yuffie grumbles, rubbing her temples. I just grin and lean back into my chair.

"Well I slept just fine."

"What did Vince do this time?" Barret says lazily.

"Nothing," I shake my head. "Except let me sleep. He's such a night person, I swear."

"I am. I like being awake in the dark, but our current dilemma isn't helping with that."

"So you have to talk to me nonstop?"

"Yup," he smirks.

"Good morning world," Denzel yawns, appearing from upstairs.

"Hey Denzel. Cid said we're leaving around lunch time," I say.

"I can't believe he's still leaving after what happened last night. I mean with the Remnants and everything," Cloud shakes his head.

"He said he told us three days and that he was gonna stick to his word. I told him he didn't have to, but he insisted."

"Good," Barret grumbles. "I'm sick of this place. Too nice and neat. Corel's the opposite," he grins down at Marlene, who nods eagerly.

"Yeah, there's a train and the coal mines and the tents and the railway to the Golden Saucer too!" she lists.

"She is too cute," I mutter under my breath and Vincent just smiles at her. Then he elbows me.

"Hey, someday, I want one of those, got that?"

"I don't know," I laugh quietly.

"It's happening," he chuckles.

"What's happening?" Barret asks and I shake my head.

"Denzel eating," Vincent nods toward the boy with his bowl of cereal. He freezes in mid bite and looks around at us.

"What did I do?"

"Nothing," Cloud laughs, shaking his head.

"Hey Daddy," Marlene bounces. "When are we going home?"

"I was thinkin Neighbor Carol could take care of you so you don't get hurt no more." he shoots me a guilty look as I glare at him.

He almost never spends time with her. I mean, he gets chances and avoids them, it's not like he never has an opportunity to have Cid fly him out to his home town to see his daughter. She's already seven and has seen him as much as I see the Midgar Zolam. Aka, not much.

"I like Neighbor Carol," She nods, but I can see the disappointment in her eyes. She was hoping he was coming with her.

"But I'll never do this to her," Vincent mumbles. "At least, I'll try not to."

"I'm sure you wouldn't," I roll my eyes.

"You never know," he smiles and kisses my temple.

"Okay, what are you two talking about?" Yuffie shakes her head.

"Nothing..." I start, but Red has to prove his eavesdropping skills.

"Children."

"Wait, Tifa are you..." Barret looks at me with horror.
