Dark Pasts Pt 7

Chloe's pov

"Oh no!" I cried as she slowly inched towards me. "Do I really have to wear make up?" I asked, groaning. "Yes... Yes you do." She replied. She fished out brown eyeliner, and a lipstick from her bag. She grabbed my forehead and told me to close my eyes gently. I did as told and she drew a straight line on the bottom edge of my eyelid with the brown eyeliner. Then she handed me a silver lipstick and told me to put it on. Once I was done I pulled out my outfit. I slipped off my exorcist coat and shirt and replaced it with a white button up shirt that I stopped buttoning above my bellybutton and tied up and then I rolled up my sleeves and left my collar loose. I put on a pair of black denim shorts and silver pumps. I also wore my hair down, letting it flow down my back. Lux and I stood next to each other and looked in the mirror. "Dang! We look hot!" I commented. "Perfect for two bar tenders." Lux said. "They'll never know what hit them" I replied. We grabbed our work ID cards and our fake ID's just incase any one stopped us. After we grabbed every thing we needed we made our way down stairs to the bar. As soon as we entered the bar my ring started to glow. "I think there is a strange mix of Akuma and humans here."I whispered to Lux, whose right eye had turned black with two red rings. "Agreed, but why aren't they transforming?" Lux whispered back. "Let's just hope they see no reason to because they still don't know we are exorcist." I said. "Well I hope they don't realize my eye can see their souls." Lux said. "Tell them it's a birth defect if they ask." I replied. "There you two are! We have been waiting! Now get those pretty 'lil butts of yours behind the bar and serve us up some beer!" A husky man with a 5 o'clock shadow yelled at us. Everyone else at the bar started cheering while me and Lux shared a look of disgust and held back a gag.

Luxis' Pov

"Those pigs!" I thought and I could tell Chloe was thinking the same thing by her expression. All thoughts aside, Chloe and I were on a mission, so we just smiled and went behind the bar. As soon as we were behind the bar we were pounded with orders. "Everyone drink to your hearts content tonight! Tab's on the Earl!" a tall man shouted. "Now that's something we can drink to!" the same husky man as before shouted. Me and Chloe shared a glance recognizing that they were indeed working with the Earl. "How about a round of shots for me and my co-workers!" the tall man said. "Coming right up." I said with a pretty smile. Chloe winked at the man. 'We're surprisingly good at this!' I thought. Then we both turned around and got out a lot of shot glasses. We filled them all up with vodka, but what they didn't know is we put sleeping powder in them. Once we were done we both loaded up a black circular tray with around twenty shots. We went around passing them out having to ignore the rude comments. "Hey why don't cha drink with us." The husky man called. "No thank you." Chloe said. "C'mon it won't hurt, ya." The man said getting way up in our personal space. "Fine." I said. "Every one drink on one! 3...2...1!" Chloe shouted. Me and Chloe held the liquor in our mouths making sure not to swallow. Every one passed out almost immediately. We spit the vodka out in the sink. "That was disgusting!" I said while trying to wash the taste out with some water. "Agreed, but at least we found out that they are working with the Earl and sleeping drugs work on Akuma to." Chloe said. "Anyway we better move fast. We have no clue how long it will last on them." I said. Chloe shook her head in agreement before we both ran of.

Chloe's Pov

We stood there for a moment peered over all the sleeping bodies. "What should we do first" Lux asked. "Let's get the keys to their rooms so we can see if they have anything that may help us." I said. "How do you suppose we do that?" Lux questioned. "The person running the front desk has a master key to all the rooms. So one of us will distract him while the other person gets the key." I explained. "Okay, I'll get the key and you distract him." Lux said. I nodded in agreement before we walked down the hallway trying to blend into the crowd and make sure to not look suspicious. When we arrived in the lobby Lux sat on a mahogany bench and pretended to be interested in something else until I had him distracted. I took my room key and broke part of it off, putting it in my pocket and then walked up to the man. "Um, excuse me." I said to get his attention. I looked down at his name tag that read "John". He looked up at me from the papers he had been working on. This is when Lux made her move she casually walked to the desk behind him that had a bunch of newspapers on it above that table was a key rack. "How may I help you?" He asked in a polite tone. "I'm sorry to bother you, but see my key broke off in the lock to my room." I said and held up the key. I fumbled with it in my hand then "accidentally" dropped it. John bent over to pick it up for me and while he was busy doing that Lux reached out from her news paper and grabbed the master key. "Here you go, Miss." He said and handed me the broken key. "Silly me, I forgot my room mate has another key it seems I didn't need your help after all. Thanks any way." I said. "No problem." He responded. Lux slowly walked out from behind the desk without being noticed. I waited a little while then slowly followed her out of the room. We both met up in an empty hallway full of doors. "Wow. That was easier then expected." I said. "Ya, it was almost to easy." Lux whispered quietly. Okay, something is really wrong with her.....
