Dark Pasts Pt 2

Luxis' Pov

I sat at the table, swaying in my seat humming a tune I had faintly recalled from my days on the streets. I heard it walking past a club when I was maybe 9 or 10. The lyrics ran through my head as I opened my mouth a bit to sing it softly.

His little whispers

Love me, love me

That's all I asked for

Love me, love me

He battered his tiny fists

To feel something

Wondered what it's like to

Touch and feel something

Monster, how should I feel?

Creatures lie here

Looking through the window

That night he caged her

Bruised and broke her

He struggled closer

Then he stole her

Violet wrists and then her ankles

Silent pain

Then he slowly saw their nightmares

Were his dreams

Monster, how should I feel?

Creatures lie here

Looking through the window

I will, here their voices!

I'm a Glass child

I am Hannah's revenge.......

I finished off the song at last, not realizing that I had sung it out loud. The whole cafeteria was currently staring at me, trying to figure out what happened. I shifted slightly in my seat. People in mid step stopped walking and hung there as if time itself had slowed. A slow clapping sounded, slower at first, and then more frantic. Allen was smiling as was Lenalee. I blushed furiously as my order came to my table, the clapping not stopping. I bowed my head as I picked up my coffee, drinking it slowly. The liquid burned my throat as I savored the taste. Allen and LenaLee sat at my table, smiling widely. I smiled nervously, my hair framing my face. My bangs reached my eyebrows curving slightly. "You're amazing!" LenaLee said excitedly. "No, not really..." I said rubbing my head. "Uh, yes you are!" Allen said backing LenaLee up. "Well thank my Mother. She was the one that had taught me to sing-" I was cut short by a loud yell from across the cafeteria. "Strike!" A boy yelled as he ran over to my table with hearts in his eyes. I held my arm out, waiting for the moment when my fist made contact with his face.

Skin touched my fist as the boy slid to the floor. Red hair was spiked on his head and a green and black bandana adorned his head. He had one emerald green eye, the other covered by an eyepatch. An irk mark appeared on my forehead as I closed my eyes in frustration. "I was talking." I growled. The boy sat up, sitting beside me. He held his hand out, expecting me to shake it. I kept eating, a sweat drop appearing on Allen and LenaLee's heads. "Hey! Are you going to shake my hand?" The boy asked clearly mad. "No." I said, still eating. "Sorry, Lavi. She's a new exorcist. Lavi this is Luxis, Luxis this is Lavi." LenaLee said, introducing me to this 'Lavi'. "Wait what's her last name." Lavi said, a serious look adorning his face. "Palen?" Allen said looking at Lavi like he was a mad man. I was crushed by a hug from my side, red hair getting in my mouth. "Pft. Pffttt. Hair. Mouth." I said turning my head. I swatted his head, releasing myself from the hug. "Why were you hugging me?" I asked a frown adorning my face. "It's me Lavi! Your half brother!" He said excitedly. My jaw literally hit the floor. As did LenaLee's and Allen's. "I don't have any family, they're all dead." I said a serious look on my face. "Well not this one! You remember Mom, right?" Lavi asked with a smile on his face. "Yeah, and I also remember her last words. 'This wasn't your fault. Just know I'll always love you.'" I said my eyes hidden by hair. Tears slid down my face, wetting my cheeks and dripping to the floor. "Who killed her?! Please say she died peacefully." Lavi said sadly. "I wish I could. But she died at the hands of her daughter." I said before I was pinned to the wall in less then ten seconds. Lavi was in front of me, tears streaming down his face. I didn't do anything, I didn't struggle or fight. "Go ahead. I deserve this after what I did to them." I whispered quietly. I smiled sadly and looked Lavi in the eye, a single tear dripping down my face. Lavi turned away and dropped me to the floor, Allen rushing to my side. A stinging feel spread across my cheek as my head whipped to the side, my eyes wide. "You don't stop. Keep walking. That's what my late father always told me. Maybe you should take some of his advice." Allen said quietly as I stood up and walked out if the cafeteria.
