Lavi's pov

"Time to go!" Chloe said as she grabbed her suit case, stretching. "Finally! I can get out of this old town!" Lux said letting out a sigh of relief. "Well come on we better get moving if we want to make our train." Allen said leading us out the door of the hotel room. I entered the partially destroyed hallway the rest of them fallowing behind. we walked down the hall avoiding the debris Cluttering the ground. I pushed open the doorframe were missing it's glass and we made our way out side of the hotel were it was still raining. It was a strange half run half walk but we briskly made our way through the rain trying to run without falling on the slick cobble stone road. The train station was soon vaguely in view through the thick fog rising of the ground . "Last call for all riders" we heard the conducted shout! "Wait!wait"Lux shouted. The four of us frantically ran to the person collecting tickets by the entrance to the train. We all handed in our tickets and climbed the little stair case leading into the passenger cart. In side the floor was a red velvety carpet that looked damp from the rain other passengers tracked in on the soles of their shoes. We walked along the rows of doors till we found the booth that was reserved for the order. Chloe walked in and took a seat near the window I slid in the booth and sat down beside her. On the seat across from us sat Allen and Lux. With a loud ear splitting screech the train started to move slowly at first then gradually picking up the pace as we left the station.Chloe leaned her head on my shoulder and stared out the window deep in thought

Chloe's pov

*flash back to the other night*

I was awoken bye the sound of commotion out in the hallway. I slowly sat up and peered around the room. Lux was still sound asleep in bed. I knew I should've gone back to bed because I had a mission the next day but I let curiosity get the best of me. I slipped of the covers allowing the cold air to pierce my skin and stumbled out into the hallway. "Stupid wall your not supposed to be there!"I heard some one shout. I turned the corner only to see the Millennium Earl clutching his throbbing toe. I gasped in shock and quickly activated my innocence."Chloe nice to see you too" he said,sarcasm coating his voice. "I'm not looking for trouble I'm here to make you an offer" He said taking a few steps back because of the guns pointed at his head."what are you talking about"I questioned? "I want you to join me in my quest I could use some one as talented as you...but choose carefully because joining me could save you a lot of heart break"he claimed.'heart break what is he talking about' I thought to myself. "We'll meet again soon enough, but for now that is all" The Earl said as he walked away disappearing into the blackness.

*end flash back*

'What did he mean when he said we would meet again soon' I asked myself? Something bad lies ahead waiting for me. Something that will change my life forever. I can just feel it. "Well I'm going to go to the bath room" Lux said as she snapped me out of my trance. Lux slid open the door and slipped out side.

*time skip 30 min*

"Hey Chloe , Lux hasn't come back from the bathroom yet.she has been in there a long time, Why don't you go umm make sure she wasn't killed bye akuma"Allen said with a slight smirk."fine" I replied. I got up from my seat and headed towards the bathroom. I walked down the long empty isle the dark red carpeting cushioning each step I took. I approached the door to the woman's restroom and pushed it open. Lux stood clutching the countertop peering into the mirror. I could clearly see her reflection In the mirror. She wore a pained expression as her skin tome shifted from it's normal pale cream color to a dark grey. These symbols appeared on her forehead that looked all to familiar."no...."I said as I let out a gasp. Lux heard me and quickly spun around revealing that it was no illusion, her skin was indeed flickering between colors.The symbols on her forehead disappeared when her skin changed back to normal. I closed the door right before Lux was able to spot me. I pressed my back against the wall slowly sliding down 'she couldn't be' I thought to my self.
