Minx's pov

I lunged forward at Chloe activating my innocence, silently hoping it wouldn't reject me again. I swept my axe around me, hoping I had hit Chloe somewhere. Behind me I heard screams as the Noah clenched their ankles. "Sorry!" I called to them. "Did you forget that your innocence isn't made for hurting humans? It only effects Akuma, or in this case Noah." Chloe said in a matter of fact tone. "That's not a problem. I'll just use my Noah powers." I said as I swirled my hands around making Chloe follow the movements of my hands. "STOP IT NOW!" I heard Lux yell in a furious tone. It sounded as if the voice wasn't just in my head, it was so realistic I peered around to see no one had made a sound except for the sound of Chloe gasping for air. I looked down to see I was clenching my fists cutting of her air supply. "Oops. That wouldn't have been very fun." I said in a muffled voice. I un-clenched my fist allowing Chloe to fall down to the earth, followed by the sound of her breathing heavily. I willed my powers to force Chloe deeper and deeper into the ground. The sound of the earth crumbling beneath her was like music to my ears. "Ok, ok I'll let you stand up and actually fight, now that I'm getting bored." I said adding a fake yawn for effect.

Chloe crawled out of the crater I had made and stood before me. Her clothing was in tatters and the bleeding didn't apear to be stopping any time soon. She held up her guns and shot at me one after another. I quickly dodged glowing bullets, the air whizzing as the bullets flew by. "Your going to have to try harder that that!" I said. "Yeah, I thought it would be a bit tougher." Chloe replied. "Please....stop hurting them. Just stop it now!" Lux cried inside my head. "They hurt me and I want to make then suffer." I replied. "The only people that have hurt you is your so called Noah family they have miss lead you! They have tricked you into thinking these awful things! None of them are true, I promise you. Why would I lie to you?! We're part of the same person!" lux ranted. "Of course you would lie to me." I said. I started to feel like I could trust no one. Not even myself. "So who are you going to believe. Some one that has always been a part of you, or the Earl, who just now showed up when he had a use for you." Lux said. Why can't I force myself to believe any of this why do all of my memories seem as if they were fake but yet so real.

Chloe's pov

Minx seemed off guard. She kept a stone cold gaze on my movements dodging bullets in the nick of time. Her movements slowed down and I used this to my advantage. She seemed lost like something had confused her. Hidden deep beneath her glassy orbs was sorrow and confusion. Was Lux fighting back? One of my bullets shot by her slightly grazing her cheek leaving behind a streak of black blood dripping ever so slowly. What ever daze she had been in she must have been knocked out of when I hit her because she reacted immediately. "Wow, you actually hit me. Guess I better start fighting back." Minx is in mock awe.

She dragged her hand down slicing the air in two. The mark she drew in the air was mimicked on my skin. I coughed up blood, choking on the little air that still reached my lungs. I screamed as a long rigid gash appeared in my side."I'm sorry. That's probably going to leave a scar." Minx said in a tone saying she was obviously not sorry. "I don't mind scars. They tell me that I'm human, that I can feel pain. They remind me of the hardships I've been through, and how I magically manage to survive every time. My luck will run out eventually, because, I mean, no one can live forever. Nothing is truly immortal, but today is not my time to part ways with life and no longer cease to exist anymore. I don't dread the day when that happens I'll welcome it with open arms because I know I'll never truly die. I'll never be forgotten. I'll leave my impact on this earth whether people notice or not."I said disregarding the agonizing pain inside. Minx seemed thrown off again. I knew deep down inside that Lux was fighting back. She was trying to give me the opening I needed even if it cost her, her life. Minx's expression went blank and she stumbled to her knees. Hopelessly, she tried to get up, clinging to the piles of debris trying to force herself up. Once she was back on her feet she brought her gaze up to meet mine and and said "You can still join us. The choice is up to you." "Innocence 92% activation!"I hollered. The two guns in my hands never changed but about 85 other guns appeared all aimed at Minx. They all ranged in a vas variety but shared the same power...to destroy any opposing threat. Each gun had it's own unique array of sliver swirls lining the sharp features of the weapons. I could feel the power being drained out of me as I began to feel light headed. I had to make a decision before I blacked out. My finger quivered on the trigger that would set off all the guns pointed at Minx's head. My mind went back and forth as I tried to decide whether to kill my best friend, or join her in a solitude of darkness.
