Chapter 22:The One They Used To Know

Minx's Pov

My hands were pressed together, the palms of my hand rested in front of Chloe's face. "Perfect." I said a wide grin on my face. I stepped back, releasing Chloe. "WooHoo! This'll be fun!" I yelled spinning. "Let's dance, like old times!" I said twirling around, my hands outstretched, controlling Chloe. "Pirouette, and leap!" I said laughing. Chloe moved with me, her teeth grounding together. My laughter rang through the arc as a crumble came from beneath. "Huh?" I said as I blinked my eyes, falling on a piece of rock. A white gloved hand grabbed mine as I was pulled up. My head landed on Tyki's chest as I smirked. "Thanks." I said lifting my hands again. "Chloe!" Lavi yelled as he swooped Chloe up before she fell. Allen looked at me with a look between love and hatred. I pushed away from Tyki, walking towards Allen. "Aw, my dear Allen, you look so hurt." I said pouting. I put my hand on his cheek, my eyes holding sadness. "L-Lux." He said shocked. "Nope." I said bringing my hand up quickly. I heard a sickening crunch as Allen fell to the floor screaming. His elbow was bent at an odd angle, as he clutched it. "That wasn't very satisfying. Scream more!" I yelled, grinning maniacally. I pulled my hands back as Allen's knee popped out as well. A ear splitting scream filled my ears as I clutched my chest. "Oh that was perfect!" I said practically drooling. "Oh well." I said bored like, popping Allen's limbs back. He gasped for air as Chloe lunged at me. I stepped to the side quickly as she landed behind me. "To slow." I said as she glared. "Don't get cocky." She said as a felt a pain go through my stomach. I hunched over, blood spilling from my mouth. It spattered on the ground, a black color. The wound healed instantaneously as I wiped my mouth. "That was good, but not good enough." I said smirking.

At this point, Road floated from the sky along with Jasdebi and Skinn. "Ah! The families all here!" I said spreading my arms apart. A blade appeared at my neck, it's silver glinting. "Oh hi Kanda." I said casually. "Tch." He responded, sliding his sword backwards, a small slit appearing at my throat. "Ahhhhhhh, I'm so scared." I said sarcastically. "I don't see what's funnier. The fact that I could kill you right now, or that you are to dumb to know I have regenerative abilities." I said rolling my eyes. "Oops, didn't mean to say that." I said continuing with the sarcasm. I tightened my fists, Kanda grunting behind me. "Ooh. That's hurts doesn't it? Being crushed from the inside out?" I said grinning. "Go on, amuse me!" I said breaking from his grasp. I slowly back away to the rest of the Noah, my face holding amusement. "Minx! I want to have some fun!" Tyki yelled, grinning maliciously. "God how old are you, Tyki? Four?" I asked laughing. He pouted as we lunged forward again, him towards Krory and Kanda, me towards Allen, Lavi, and Chloe. "How much fun can you guys be?" I asked smiling. "One hell of a time! It'll literally sweep you off your feet!" Lavi yelled as he swung his hammer towards my feet. "Puns, puns, puns!" I giggled jumping off the ground and landing on Lero. My hands twisted into knots as the group of people below me contorted, screaming in pain.

"How about you scream some more?!" I yelled, giggling. My eyes were wide and held excitement and pleasure. Suddenly, a burst of pain went through my scalp. I dropped my arms, a fairly blank expression etched on my soft features. I fell backwards, not having the balance to stay on Lero for whatever reason. My a silky black hair flowed around me as my amber orbs searched frantically for something to break my fall. My body wasn't listening to me. It stayed dormant, falling to the ground quickly. My once excited eyes, turned to ones of fear. "Move, God Damn it!" I yelled. Another pain went through my head. I screamed, shaking my head back and forth.

These thoughts and feelings ran through my head. "Get out of my head!" I screamed as I was quickly grabbed by someone. In front of me was Skinn holding my limp body. "Help." I said weakly. He patted my head softly, setting me down next to Road. "Your host is fighting back, isn't she?" Road asked as I nodded my head quickly. "It hurts Road, it really really hurts." I whispered tears streaming down my face. She placed a small hand on my forehead, giggling softly. "She's weak at the moment, you'll be able to fight her." Road said grinning. I sat up slowly, my hands shaking. The arc had no weather. The least I could say was that the 'sun' was beating down on my figure. My abdomen pulled the rest of my body up, my body hanging in a kind of bridge like state. My face was facing the exorcists, as the front of my body faced a wall. "Hello~"I said giggling. I flipped upwards looking at the exorcists. "Now that, that's over. Where were we?" I asked grinning. I rubbed my hands together, drooling at the thought of being able to feel their warm and sticky blood left over on my fingers after I kill them, slowly and painfully. 'This'll be great!' I thought smiling. Get ready, exorcists.

Chloe's Pov

I pulled my guns up, shooting rapidly at Minx, tears bridging the lids of my eyes. My blue orbs were hazy as I ran on pure hope of getting my friend back. She dodged each bullet perfectly, not even trying. "Why are you doing this!" I screamed, rage filling my voice. "Cross Grave!" Allen shouted as Minx dodged another hit. "Flame Seal!" Lavi shouted.

Scared

Hopeless

Stupid

Reluctant

I was all of these things. I couldn't shoot Minx. Deep down, I knew it was Lux! Minx was about 4-5 yards away from us when she pulled her hands up, stopping abruptly. Her fingers spread apart, her grinning wildly. Inside, my blood boiled. My arm was bent at an odd angle as strange popping noises filled the air. The adrenaline pumping through my body only delayed the sudden burst of pain delivered to my nervous system in that brief moment. Crack. Pop. Screams. My elbow burned to hell as I clutched it yelling. "Chloe!" Lavi yelled as he rushed to me. "Ah, ah, ahhh." Minx said as Lavi knee went limp, his screams mixing with mine. "Lux! What are doing?" Allen yelled as she turned to him innocently. "Allen-Kun, could you stay out of this? For me?" She said In Lux's voice. Allen was to shocked to say anything, let alone move.

She turned towards us again, her fingers working through the air. I don't know how to describe being controlled. It felt as if your blood, your own body, wasn't listening to you. It was a sickening feeling that I only wished I didn't know. It hurt, yet felt neutral. Like I said, I can't explain it, as infuriating as it is, I can't. "You guys are boring me, scream some more!" Minx said, her eyes bored, then becoming excited. "I know! Why don't I slowly let all of the blood pour from you bodies, every pore, every hole or cut, oozing with that delicious red liquid! Ooh, just imagine it!" Minx yelled clutching her chest. My elbow was popped back into place as I lay on the ground panting. A hand was placed on my back gently, as I

turned my head. Emerald green eyes stared at me, full of love and passion. "We'll get through this, I promise." Lavi said smiling. "I love you." He said kissing my head softly. "I love you, too. Now let's kick some Noah ass!" I said getting up slowly. In front of me was a friend I once knew, my best friend in fact, but not anymore. She was a monster, not the Luxis Palen I knew and loved, at least not anymore.
