A second mother is one of a kind
She did not carry you in her womb
Nor did she bring you into this world
But a second mother so special like you
Choose to be my mother by choice
You've watch me achieve great heights
And you also watch as I slid down mountains
Fell from the top and rolled down hills
But never did you allow me to hit rock bottom
You were always there to help me back up
Brush off the dust from my clothes
And encourage me to keep trying
Yes, a second mother so special like you
Could never be forgotten
You will forever have a part of my heart
Thank you for choosing me as your daughter
Loving me and caring for me as if I was your own
You've accepted every good and bad part of me
Seen me at my worst and still think I'm the best
And we might of not been related by DNA
However we are defaintly connected by heart
To my second mother
You are so beautiful and kind
So willing to give all of yourself
In order to see me smile and laugh
I would be lost if I had not found you
In this great big ocean of life
I love you more then just moon and back
And beyond the stars
A second mother so special like you
Will always be in my life
No matter where or when
I can never forget you
Thank you for choosing me as your daughter
I am so grateful that you are my mother
