All we did was fight
That day was suppose to be for us
You even took some time off from work
In order to be with me
To see me
Spend much needed time with me
But all we did was fight
We were suppose to go to lunch
And maybe a trip to Target afterwards
I could hear our laughs now
As you hop on some kiddy ride
Scoot down aisles while I videotape
Or you would grab a random item on the shelf
Choke up a funny accent or joke
I would laugh even if it wasn't that funny
But all we did was fight
You brought up one certain subject
And I immediately took a bucket to that fire
Except you kept reletting the flame
Until the fire grew and I couldn't stop it
I couldn't risk getting burn once again
So I tried to run and avoid the mess
But it just wouldn't go away
All we did was fight
We both purposely hurt each other
In order to make things fair
However the hole we dug
Kept getting deeper and deeper
Until there was no going back
Because all we did was fight..
