This was how my life is now, my purpose and place in this world, I am just a weapon, a puppet, a killing-machine.
I had no idea what date it is, nor month, nor year. It felt as if it's been a long eternity since I first got into the hands of HYDRA, I learned the name of the organization one day when everyone chanted, 'Hail HYDRA'.
Weird.
And for some odd reason I joined in, but whispered it instead of a chant.
I've learned of this program I was in, the Rebirth Program, the 'r' is actually stretched out when pronouncing it by majority of the people here.
Many kids along with me joined, no, forced into this program, and all of the kids' had parents working in HYDRA. There were about thirty of us who were either forced or tricked into this program.
They broke us, controlled us, and placed an end to our childhood before it even began. In a twisted way, we were all reborn like a butterfly.
The people of HYDRA explained it to me that it was to eliminate all the terrible doings of society, me to be the experiment subject of this whole ordeal so I can help the others in stopping the 'bad'. Society could not be trusted with its freedom. It was all ironed in my brain.
I believed what they said, I believed that I was helping society.
About a week after being first taken to this facility, two armed guards led me to my cell room, it was honestly a better sight than in a hospital-like room filled with many others.
Once, I was in they locked me up and stood guard while others patrolled back and forth. The cell rooms were in one big hall, about thirty, they weren't bad and in fact more comfortable than the hospital rooms.
A few doctors and scientist came by each cell that held a young child, asking if we've have felt anything or what I thought of certain subjects.
I answered with what they would've want to hear, and when they left my cell my eyes landed on a girl whose cell was across from mine, she smiled and waved without a care in the world.
I ignored her actions and just turned my head to stare at the plain grey walls.
Soon, after weeks of the same process and checkups, I began lifting heavy weights like a feather, however my muscles seemed the same as they were months ago, they weren't buff or ripped, but just there sitting on my arm. Like normal muscles on a girl my age. My running speed was faster than normal to my finding, and a cut from a knife healed in less than two days without leaving a scar.
About another or so week later, after many more checkups and questioning, I was moved into a training room with all the other kids, I noticed that some were younger while others were older.
We were taught many things, hand-to-hand combat, firearms, tactical skills, foreign languages, acrobatics, ballet, computer technology, and survival skills. Our trainers told us that these subjects were all necessary, and I didn't object, and no one did because fear was controlling them.
Unfortunately, many of us were killed within the first few months.
A little boy named Daniel, who had to be at least two years younger than me, was crying one day during training when his wrists was slit by Brian, another little boy in the program about the same age as him. Little to say, Daniel was shot in the head by one of the trainers for being weak.
That trainer told us with a heart shivering glare, "Never display vulnerability or any weaknesses to your enemies, let him be a lesson to you all..."
It was certainly a lesson to most if us.
A woman in a neat uniform was watching us train, she burst into tears when Daniel was shot and killed, she must've been his mother because of the similar looks. Everyone ignored her and she was escorted out by armed guards.
