A few days passed and I still haven't spoken to Peter or Ned, the air around us was still thick. Today was the homecoming dance and Michelle had sent me a picture of her dress, I replied back immediately, giving her positive feedback. Samantha texted me about her date while Tracy sent me a picture of a tub of ice cream, she had decided to not go to the dance. Bryan also decided not to go and told me he was going to watch movies all night with his niece, along with a few boxes of pizza to keep them not hungry.

I kept track of the time as I watched an episode of Spongebob while getting ready. The theme for the dance was the '80's' but no one really cared about the theme, it never really mattered. I wore a powder blue dress with a little bit of silver floral patterns at the bodice, the dress fell just above my knees. I had chosen it because I simply liked the color and pattern, mom also agreed that it was a nice dress, it was designed by her friend's husband.

I looked at my long black hair in the mirror, wondering if I should tie part of it back or just let it down, maybe even curl it. In the end, I decided to tie part of it back and leave the rest down, I applied a sheer pink tinted lip gloss on my lips and picked a small plain white purse with a strap. I placed in my phone and the lip gloss (for if I need to reapply it during the night, because I plan to attack the refreshment table), along with a small pocket knife for protection, and my ticket to the homecoming dance.

Zane knocked on my door, alerting me that it was time to leave.

I came out of my room and he gasped. "An angel!"

I can hear his sarcasm, "Okay okay, let's go you fool."

"That's what all Disney villains say, they say 'fools' and you know what? They all die in the end."

"What film do you not see the heroes or main protagonist win?"

"Well I can name a few-"

"Let's just go. Please."

We got into the car and he started up the engine. "You leaving again for a week?" I asked him.

"Yeah, it's a busy week with a couple of projects," answered Zane.

"Yeah yeah, tell me how the project is after." I looked at my phone and Michelle texted me that she was already there. The light turned green and after three minutes we had arrived. It was funny how it was only one week of each month he stays at his campus, and the rest he comes over to babysit me after classes.

"Don't get in an accident," I joked to Zane as I got off the car.

Zane let out a humorless laugh. "Sure, if I do then I will haunt you first."

"Not if I die first," I countered with a smirk before closing the car door, I made my way up the stone steps, waving to a few familiar faces and entered the building. At the front I gave my ticket to a teacher and entered the cafeteria, spotting MJ with Ned, Liz, and Betty all together.

"You look so beautiful," I complimented MJ as we gave each other a hug.

MJ raised an eyebrow at me and jokingly said, "So I wasn't beautiful any other day?"

At her remark I became a bit flustered, MJ laughed at my face and said that she was just giving me a hard time. "Classic MJ," I winked at her before going over to Ned.

We exchanged a small smile and went to the refreshment table, Ned was the first to speak. "So me and Peter kinda talked about it, you already know his secret so there's no point in hiding it."

My smile dropped and was replaced by a frown. "So it's true." I felt more guilty than before if possible.

"Yeah."
