"Weird, Peter isn't at school today," I muttered then ate an apple slice. It was lunchtime and from across the room I see Ned sitting alone at the lunch table, well, MJ was at the table next to him but she payed him no mind.

"Peter Parker? That guy? He's is a weird kid," Samantha remarked then she smirked, "why do you notice this? You like him or something?"

At her question both Tracey and Bryan perked up and waited for my reaction, the expected reaction was blushing and stuttering, meaning that I do have a crush on Peter, but I didn't. At least I don't think I feel anything other than friendship for him.

I shook my head, unfazed. "No, he's just a friend, but I'm worried about him you know?"

"I heard he missed the Decathlon Nationals," Tracey piped up. "It's shitty of him if he did, he basically just got a free trip to D.C."

"It is, but whatever," I dismissed, "Peter is Peter, he's probably struggling with school while we struggle on what to wear to homecoming. I'm wearing a nice dress made by my mom's friend's husband, he's a major designer in France."

Tracey and Bryan were not surprised, they were use to me saying things with the words 'designer' or 'expensive'.

Samantha looked at us sheepishly when I mentioned the homecoming dance. "Well, you guys got a date to homecoming?"

"No," Tracey, Bryan and me all answered at once.

"My boyfriend can't come with me to homecoming," Bryan grumbled out his reason.

"I don't have a boyfriend," Tracey stated plainly.

I shrugged, "I don't either so I might just tag along. Wait, Sam, you got a date?"

Samantha blushed. "I mean... okay, yes!"

All of us started squealing, congratulating Samantha and asked who the lucky guy or girl was. "Well, he's in my Geometry and he sits next to me," Samantha described, a somewhat dreamy look on her face, while she was explaining my eyes drifted past her and settled on someone from across the room. It was Cedric Watson, the guy who I saved from two muggers yesterday, he sat with his friends and laughed at something the other said.

Before he could spot me staring at him I looked away, taking interest at Samantha telling us about her date to homecoming.

When I got home, Zane was there in the living room with his laptop. "Hey, so your friend's mom called, she asked if Peter was here or if you know where he is."

"Mom? Peter has an aunt," I corrected him, wondering why would Peter aunt call, "and I thought Peter was sick, he wasn't at school."

"Then you better call her and tell her what you know, she sounded really worried." Zane sighed, getting up from the sofa and handing me the home phone.

I took the phone but then placed it back on its charging stand. "No. I think I know what he's doing," I knew Peter was doing Spider-Man business, but just unsure where. "But I don't know where."

Zane looked at me, "That doesn't make sense."

"It kinda does but whatever." I began making my ways up the stairs to go to my room, I had the sudden urge to watch some really old cartoons, such as Tom and Jerry.

"Okay then," Zane looked away. "Anyways, have you seen the news? A Staten Island ferry got sliced in half, and then Iron Man swooped in and sealed back up the whole ferry. Spider-Man was also there."

I stopped in my steps on the stairs at the mention of Spider-Man, turning my head around and shouted, "WHAT?!"

Zane jumped, startled at my sudden exclamation. "You okay, you seem shook about Spider-Man."
