Peter Parker got home from school quicker than usual, and today he decided to do his daily patrol around his town a little bit later. He proudly wore his Spider-Man mask just like any other day, holding the slip of paper filled with binary codes in front of him at his desk.

"Karen, I need you to decipher this," he ordered his A.I politely.

When his friend, Alice Bennett, had dropped it along with her English binder to catch a volleyball flying towards her, it ended up next to Peter. He was going to give it back, but he was far too curious, and his spider senses were going haywire when he had the paper in his hands, he knew something was out of the ordinary.

"Peter, you may not really like where this is headed," Karen warned after a few seconds, then displayed the translated code that Peter saw through the lens of his mask.

"What?" Peter mumbled, eyes squinting to see confirm what he was reading.

Alisa Orlov, your time is going to be up.
HYDRA wants you back.
WATCH OUT, ASSET 7-25401
-Tracker

The young man's jaw dropped through confusion.

He knew what HYDRA is, everyone did, but the mention of an Asset and Alisa Orlov? It sounded close to the name of Alice.

"I'm going to need more background info," Peter said, trying to reassure himself that Alice didn't get into trouble with a terrorist organization.

"Nothing on Alisa Orlov through extensive search-related to Alice Bennett. I do find that there is wiped information about Alice four years back," Karen replied. "Would you like me to bring it back? Mr. Stark used F.R.I.D.A.Y to delete them himself."

"Mr. Stark is involved in this? Uh- just bring everything up."

Pictures and document files began to show up in front of his eyes, a profile and headshot picture of a young girl with short black hair, brown eyes that held no light or emotion, and a pale and colorless face.

It sure as hell looked like Alice.

"What the hell..." Peter mumbled without knowing when he spotted a few words and categories.

Karen began to summarize the S.H.I.E.L.D report, "Alisa Orlov, born on two-thousand and one, April twenty-fifth. Took part in the Apodemia Initiative along with forty-two other candidates of ages five to fourteen, nicknamed Rebirth Program..."

It was weird but nothing really out of the ordinary, the home phone rang once then stopped. "Huh, Peter tried to call me," I muttered when seeing the contact name, "should I try calling him back?"

Zane gave a huff and took the phone out of my hands, "Go do your homework, and are you going to eat dinner here or at the bakery with your friend?"

"Probably at the bakery, his grandma made a shortcake,"

Zane shot me a pointed look. "Shortcake isn't dinner."

It was the 'mom look' that made me want to cower in fear and rethink my life choices. "I'll get a sandwich, okay?"

"I'll make some food for you anyways, and we'll leave at four-thirty."

"Fine, fine," I grumbled and went to the living room where my backpack left discarded on the couch, I took out my class binders and my homework folder, dreading to do the homework we had today for Physics.

My phone in my pocket began to vibrate, instantly I dropped everything to the ground, creating a loud splat noise.

"What was that?!" Zane yelled from the kitchen.

"Stuff! Sorry." I replied before grabbing my phone and seeing Peter's name on my voice. It was odd for him to call unless it was super important. I swiped to accept his call and placed my phone to my ear, expecting him to say something about Spider-Man.

"Hey, Alice?"

"Yeah? What'd you need?" I replied in a cheerful voice, excited if he has any stories about being the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, I only brushed him off this morning because I had tasks to do for a teacher.

"Can you... are you free tonight? Are you free, maybe- never mind, how about tomorrow morning, I want to talk about something important."

I stayed silent for a moment before nodding to myself, expecting the worst. "Yeah- yeah, tomorrow morning, where?"

"Never mind- maybe tomorrow after school? After school, we can walk to that park, the one with the gazebo. It's really important and... Ned won't be joining, so don't tell him.."

"Okay then," I replied cautiously, wondering what Peter could want to tell me about and why Ned couldn't join even though he knew about his Spider-Man business. "I won't question it but-"

Peter hung up.

Maybe, just maybe, Peter is going to ask me out? He sounded more serious that nervous, or was I imagining things?

"Who was that?" Zane came out of the kitchen, eyebrows knitting together when he saw how red my cheeks were.

"A friend, don't worry about it," I quickly gathered my stuff and ran upstairs squealing.
