In P.E we were about to do the Captain America Fitness Challenge, no one is a fan of it but it was required by the state. I sat next to Michelle on the bleachers, watching the tv screen while she read her book, not paying any mind to the videotape.

"Hi, I'm Captain America," I see Steve Rogers on the TV screen, dressed in his old iconic suit that people know him by, "Whether you're in the classroom or on the battlefield..."

I tuned him out, thinking about what I can eat when I get home. 'We ran out of tiramisu, I gotta go ask Zane to buy more, we have goldfish and Doritos, hmm...'

"...Today my good friend-" Rogers motioned to the left when Coach Wilson was really on the right. "- your gym teacher, will be conducting the Captain America Fitness Challenge."

After the video was over, Coach Wilson brought an end to the video. "Thank you, Captain, pretty sure this guy is a war criminal now but whatever, I have to show these videos it's required by the state." Coach Wilson blew on his whistle to signal us to go to the many stations.

"Come on, Al," Flash motioned me to come with him to the rope climbing station, and already started off to secure a rope for himself.

I looked at him then back at Michelle.

"Just go, I'm not doing his thing anyways." She waved me off and got onto one of the blue sit-up mats.

"Why?" I asked and crouched down beside her, curious and worried if I hurt her feelings, if I did hurt her feelings then I was ready to apologize and even bake her a cake.

Michelle proceeded to do sit-ups by lifting her book up and down, it wasn't even considered a sit-up but she looked content with doing it. "Oh, uh, I just never cared for these kind of programs, accomplishing these trials doesn't make you more or less, only for us to be made perfect when we already are."

My mouth was parted open and I wasn't sure what to say to her statement. "Uhm, okay then, enjoy the book..."

I went over across the gym to where Flash had just begun to hold onto the rope because he was waiting for me.

"Just a bit higher," I said, instructing Flash as he climbed on the rope that hung from the ceiling. "Come on, it's not that hard."

"Says you," Flash wheezed, trying to go higher but couldn't so he began to climb down.

"Peter knows Spider-Man!" Ned suddenly started loudly, making everyone go silent.

I whip my head to their direction, my eyes widening. Every time at the mention of Spider-Man my mind goes to when I recommended him to Tony Stark back in May, I could've changed his life for better or for worse, either way, I felt terrible for throwing the poor guy into a life he can't get out of.

Fighting crime and being a hero may seem amazing and like a dream, but the consequences await. The constant thought of being killed, family and loved ones being in danger, and the thought of failure are undesirable.

"No- I don't!" Peter stammered, getting up from the sit-up mats and walking towards Liz. Flash jumped down and began making his way slowly towards Peter, I followed behind him knowing he was about to provoke Peter.

"They're friends." Ned announced loudly.

"Yeah, like Coach Wilson and Captain America are friends," Flash joked, laughing.

"I've met him, yeah... A couple of times, but it's- uhm- through the Stark Internship..." Peter pauses and turned to Ned, hissing, "yeah well I'm not really supposed to talk about it."
