A Baby Is Born

We decide to go see Lauren and Alex. We got a text around 5:00 pm yesterday that Lauren was officially going into labor, at like 8:00 Addison had been born. I love that name, it uses Alex's name and has Lauren's artistic twist to it. I grab the little blue blanket and little stuffed animal and put it in a gift bag for Addison. We even came up with a nickname for him, it's Addi.
"You ready to go babe?" Aaron ask as he peaks in the room.
"Yeah"
"Ok, lets go" Kian and Nessa wanted to join but they have to get Rebel some shots. Nessa was in tears when she left because she didn't want to She her baby in pain. I heard about this thing called postpartum. It's where after the baby is born you either emotional about what the baby goes through, or you don't want to take care of the baby. I guess Nessa got the emotional one. There's a whole lot of different versions but those are kind of the main ones. I've been reading a lot about babies. I'm nervous but excited.Speaking of that, I have to schedule a doctors appointment for myself. I have to have one every month.
"Roni I put the bag in the car!" Aaron yells from outside.
"Ok" I yell back. I tie my shoes while I still can and walk outside. We drive to the hospital that Lauren's in.
"We're looking for Lauren Burriss"
"She's in room 211"
"Thank you"
"No problem" We walk through the maternity ward. It's weird think that we'll be here in a couple of months.
"I can't wait to see little Addi" I say to Aaron
"I bet he's going to be really cute"
"I love all babies"
"Babies look kinda weird when they're born, kinda like aliens" Aaron says
"Wow, we've moved on to bullying babies" I joke
"Hey, I'm not lying though"
"Well, I disagree"
"I've seen five newborn babies, they look like little aliens"
"Cute little aliens"
"Ok, I'll compromise with that" He says. We're at the room door when we finish our conversation. I knock on the door. Alex answers.
"Oh hey, Aaron and Roni, come on in" When we walk in, we see Lauren holding Addison and eating gnocchi at the same time. That's multitasking at its best.
"Hey guys" She says. How does she still look amazing after just giving birth, like her makeup is flawless and her hair is in perfect curls. After greeting each other, Alex and Aaron start talking and Lauren and I start talking.
"You look great" I tell her
"Aww, Thanks"
"Addi, you look so cute" He has tiny little gloves on and everything.
"Roni, you seem really interested in Addi"
"Speaking of that..."
"Really!"
"Yes"
"I'm so happy for you, I would hug you but my hands are kinda full" Which makes us both laugh. I guess Aaron told Alex because he's walking over to us, super happy to be an uncle.
"We just need to have two more babies after baby RonRon is born to have a basketball team" Alex says
"Kian, Alex and I, can be the coaches" Aaron says
"Sorry to break it to you guys, but I just had Addi"
"We have seven more months to this baby is here" I say pointing to my stomach
"And Rebel is only six months old" Lauren adds
"You'll have to wait for awhile before you can teach basketball" The look upset, but of course it's just them acting.
"Fine" They both day with their arms crossed. We talk for a little longer and then Aaron and I leave.
"I wanna go shopping for the baby, but we don't know it's gender yet" I say
"I mean, we can just pick out clothes, they're not gender specific"
"True, but I think we should tell our viewers"
"Oh shoot, I forgot that they didn't know" We head home and set up the camera.
"Hey guys, it's Aaron"
"And Veronica"
"And we have something very important to tell you guys"
"I'm pregnant" I say
"Yeah I know, I was just as shocked as you. In fact I have my reaction right here" He does this swiping motion. I guess that's his transition to his reaction. He introduces everyone else's reactions and gets a live on from Swoozie. Then we do an outride and cut the camera. While he's editing that I schedule a appointment for myself.
"Babe I have an appointment in three days" I tell him
"Ok" After chilling for a while and writing some lyrics for a song. Nessa and Kian walk in.
"How was the doctors office visit guys?" I ask them
"Horrible" Nessa says. You can see one stream of her mascara running down her face. It's dried now so, she must have not cried recently.
"It wasn't that bad, he cried once, that's good considering he got three shots. Nessa cried way more than he did" Kian says while bouncing the baby back in forth.
"It was heartbreaking" Nessa says and takes Rebel out off Kian's hands. She holds him tight and pets his head.
"We got food after, and he slept the whole time. That's why he's so drowsy now. The doctors told us that shots make babies sleepy"
"Nessa, are you ok now" I ask her
"No, I'm being way to dramatic" We laugh and I shake my head. Leave it to Nessa.
