Aaron POV
We're just chilling in the house and watching videos, when Roni starts having contractions. She's had them before,no big deal. They go away for like five minutes, then the start again. I think she's going into labor. She's able to manage to calmly talk,call,text,and walk. We have to hurry because it won't be that way for to long.
Roni POV
I start feeling contractions,which doesn't freak me out. They start getting closer. Once, I tell Aaron I text in the group chat to my parents,Nessa,Kian,Alex,And Lauren. I tell them that we're going to the hospital now. When get there I'll tell them the address. Aaron runs upstairs to get the hospital bag while I'm texting. We load car seats in the car as fast as possible, then we drive to the hospital. The contractions starting going to four and a half minutes apart. I'm nervous.
"Babe are you doing ok?" Aaron ask
"Yeah, the contractions are getting closer together"
"Ok,hang in there,we're almost at the hospital" He says and holds my hand. I squeeze his hand every time the contractions get closer together.
Aaron POV
We make it to the hospital and park at the closest park. We walk in and check into the Maternity ward area. I make sure that my family knows the babies are coming.
"Baby, I'm nervous"Roni says. She looks scared
" Don't worry I'll be right here" I tell her. To tell the truth, I'm nervous too. I'm nervous to be a dad, I'm nervous about the delivery. I don't want Roni to get hurt our the babies,but I put my brace face on and hang in there with her, I don't want her to be any more worried. The doctor comes in tells us to wait until she's dilated more. She's still having contractions and I'm holding her hand. She squeezes it ever now and then because of the pain,but I don't mind. In a couple of minutes Kian and Nessa are here. Nessa says hi really quick then runs inside Roni's room, kinda similar to when she had Rebel. I had to step outside and Kian was waiting for me.
"Well, if it isn't the expecting dad" He says with his arms crossed. "You're nervous aren't you"
"Hell Yeah" I don't usually curse but that just slipped out.
"You were here for me,now I'm here for you. I don't know much about twins, except for Roni and Nessa, but I do know that you're going to be a great dad. You're the most kind,selfless person I've ever met. You're going to be a great dad and I know you're worried about Roni,but she's going to be ok,trust me. When you walk out of here you're going to be a dad. It's crazy,but it's true and you're going to do great."
"Thanks man,I feel ten times better"
"By the way,be prepared for another speech,your brother,and father and law are on the way." We laugh and do our hand shake and I walk in, switching spots with Nessa
Roni POV
Nessa comes running into the room.
"Tell me everting that happened today"she says really excitedly
"Well,I woke up and took a shower and did my hair and makeup,Aaron and I got some breakfast at a breakfast place. When we got back,you and Kian were gone. We sat down and just watched videos and relaxed. I started having contractions. It wasn't that big of a deal because I had been having them a couple days before. They started getting closer together,until they were five minutes apart.i told Aaron and I texted everyone,he got our hospital bag and he comforted me while we rode here.The doctors told me that I'm four centimeters dilated,and now we're here." I tell her and I shrug my shoulders.
"Well,you have six more centimeters to go,a lot more contractions,and a lot more pain" She says
"Jeez,thanks for comforting me Nessa" I say sarcastically
"What,I'm just trying to tell the truth,nobody did that for me. Mommy told me that I was almost done every two seconds. It made me feel like it was something wrong with me when the pain wasn't over,which made me scared. I can see the nervousness in your eyes. I know you're scared to be a mom,I know you're scared for the pain,but trust me when I say,you are going to be a great parent,maybe even better than me and as for the pain,you're my twin,we've been through everything together. You're a warrior and you're amazing. I believe in you and if you ever need my help or my love,just send some twin telepathy my way and I'll be right here."
"Love you"
"Love you too,now let's get those twins out of you" She says and leaves. Aaron comes in right after.
"How are you doing?"
"Good no change"
"Anymore pain?"
"Not really,contractions are still 4 and a half minutes apart" He rubs my leg which makes my hospital gown rustle. At least I don't look a mess,I have on some makeup and my hair is done. The nurse comes in and out to keep checking up on me. Aaron and I trying to decide on the name now. We've got the first names now we're just working on the middle names. Aaron is in charge of the boys name and I'm in charge of the girls. Mommy and Daddy just got here.
"Aww my baby is about to have her own baby" Mommy says. She hugs Aaron and I and so does Daddy. Daddy asks to talk to Aaron while mommy asked me to tell her everything that's happened so far.
Aaron POV
Paul asked me to step outside. Great,something else to add onto my anxiety.
"You're nervous aren't you" He says with his arms crossed when I closed the door.
"Yeah,very"
"I was too. It's crazy having one kid for the first time,let alone two. To add on to that,you have no idea what's going to happen during delivery. I was there once, just take a deep breath. Don't worry too much, and most importantly be there for Veronica. No matter what just stay supportive, even if everything is going wrong. You're going to be a great da... scratch that,you're going to be an amazing dad. You got this." He says and sticks his hand out for a fist bump. I give him a fist bump and walk back in the door. They leave after a while.
"Owww" Roni says
"Are you ok?" I ask and grab her hand
"Yeah, the contractions are getting more aggressive"
"Here, I'll time them for you" I say. I wait for her next contraction.
"I'm having one" she says and winces in pain. I star counting. I get to 150 when she has her next one.
"They're two and a half minutes apart" I tell her
"Ok,I should be at least two more centimeters"
"I'm gonna call the nurse so she can check" The nurse is in here in like a minute.
"You're eight centimeters dilated,call me when you contractions are two minutes apart and we can see if you're water needs to be broken."
"Ok" We try to relax and count the time between her contractions.
Roni POV
These contractions are starting to hurt more and more. I'm really nervous now.
"Aaron,I'm scared" I say with tears running down my cheeks. I haven't cried in a while,but the pain and emotion are getting to me.
"I'm right here,I won't leave from beside you. You're my little princess,my little warrior and if I know anything about you,I know you can make it through it."He says and wipes the tears off my cheeks.
"You sure?"I ask sniffling up my tears.
"I'm positive" He says and pulls me closer. The moment didn't last long because a contractions interrupts it.
"Owwww"
"I'll call the nurse" The contractions are two minutes apart,and they're getting really annoying. I just want them to be over with. Mommy and Nessa told me that this would happen, but I didn't know it was this bad. The nurse gets in and says I'm ten centimeters dilated and it's time to start trying to get my water to break. The nurse gets me to walk around,get on an exercise ball,and stretch. She tells me too lay down and wait five minutes. I lay down and fight through my contractions. After two minutes I felt like I peed on myself.
"Babe"
"Hmmm" He says and looks up from his phone. He was texting family.
"I think my water just broke"
"Let me call the nurse" Once he called she came in almost a minute.
"Yep,your water broke,are you having excruciating contractions"
"Yes"
"I'm going to call in the doctor,I'm going to need you to stay calm we're going to have you. start doing breathing exercises and pushing in a couple minutes.
Aaron POV
The nurse is getting the doctor and a couple other nurses. It's almost time. Roni's handling the pain like a champ. I hate seeing her in pain though.
"Alright,we're going to have you start pushing" the doctor says" push for ten breath for five"
"Ok
"Ready go" I hold her hand and count to ten
"1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10" I say
"Alright breath" this goes on for like ten minutes. Roni's moaning in pain. I feel super bad. This goes on for ten minutes,then we hear crying. I look up. They cut the umbilical cord and take baby to clean it up. I barely got a glimpse of it so I don't know if it's a boy or a girl. Another nurse comes in.
"Ok,we're going to need you to stay calm, we have to do an emergency c-section" I can see the fear in Roni's eyes when he says that and I'm terrified too.
Roni POV
I'm literally crying. I'm super scared,added I'm in excruciating pain. I calm myself,making the operation easier. Aaron's comforting me the whole time,with helps a whole lot. I honestly just want to hold both of my babies and know they're ok. By,the time I finish having my own pity party,we hear crying again. They cut the umbilical cord. They clean the baby up then hand both the babies straight to us.
"Here's your beautiful baby boy and girl" The nurse says and hands the babies to me. I instantly forgot all the pain and start crying.
"Hi babies,mommy loves you" They're peacefully laying in my arms. I look up and I see Aaron tearing up. He kisses my forehead and says,
"I knew you could do it" The nurses and the doctors both leave out. Before the leave,they tell us they'll be back soon for the names and the feeding. Aaron texts everyone to tell them that our babies were born. I look at the time and it's three in the morning. We've been here since 1:00 I think I was in labor for around eight hours. It doesn't matter to me, I'm just glad my little angels are finally here.
"Alright, we said we would surprise each other with the names,you should go first" Aaron tells me
"I've decided on, Violet A'mour Burriss"
"Thats beautiful"
"What do you have for him"
"Vincent Augustine Burriss"
"I love that" The rule was the first has to start with a V and the middle has to start with an A. I think Vincent and Augustine sound amazing
"Welcome Violet And Vincent" I say. We admire our two little angels. Aaron has Violet in his hands and I have Vincent. This is all I've ever wanted. A beautiful family, a loving,handsome,and supportive husband,and to make them happy.
