Sick and Surprised

Roni POV
I'm playing around with Rebel while Kian and Nessa are out on a date night. Aaron's at the gym. I stayed back to watch Rebel. I really didn't want to go anyway.
"Aww aren't you so cute" I say in my baby voice to Rebel. He just gurgles back to me. He's about six months so he's crawling and moving a lot. Lauren and Alex's baby should be here any day now. I'm prepared to be the designated babysitter from now on. I remember that it's time to feed him. Nessa left him some little applesauce packets to give him. I know kids love those. I would say it's time to feed myself too, but I haven't been feeling the greatest. I've been really nauseous recently. I've thrown up a couple times but it didn't seem like anything major to me, maybe just a little stomach bug. I give Rebel his little applesauce packets and let him go to town. It has a whole bunch of vegetables in it so it's good for him. My stomach is really bothering me though. I'm trying to think about it. What symptoms have I had? I've thrown up almost every morning, I haven't had my period in a while, and I'm sick. Is it? It can't be, could it?. I scramble to get my phone. I order a delivery man to bring me a pregnancy test. To create a distraction for Aaron I text him to ask can he pick up some food. If I am pregnant I want it to be a surprise for him. Who am I kidding, it's a surprise for me too. Hopefully, he'll see my text after working out. I'm literally rocking back in forth in the corner waiting for the delivery man. I remember that I'm in Rebel's room so I put him in his crib, it's almost his bed time anyway. I close his door but turn on the baby monitor and walk down stairs. I sit on the couch. Five minutes feels like forever when you're waiting for something. When the doorbell finally rings a hop up really quick. I thank the man and practically run up the steps. I pee on the little strip and I slump down on the bathroom floor and wait. It's nerve wracking. I'm pacing the floor, I'm biting my nails, I'm even counting seconds. I finally have the courage to pick up the little stick. There's two dark pink, prominent lines. I check the box. Two means pregnant. Happiness just wafts over me. I cover my mouth and start crying tears of joy. I stop, realizing that Aaron will be home soon. I hide the box and the test and clean myself up. I check on Rebel. He's sleeping. My baby fever is literally at its peak so I let out a little "awww"
I put on one of Aaron shirts so it hides my form and I cover my stomach with a hedgehog plushie. I hug it tight. I'm literally exploding with joy. I'm thinking about all the cute baby clothes and what the gender will be and names. I can't hold this secret for long.Aaron walks in the door five minutes later.
"Hey babe" I say and I get on my top toes to kiss him.
"Hey"
"How was your workout"
"Great, I got a lot of stuff done and I brought you home some Chipotle"
"Thanks"
"Where's Rebel?"
"Sleeping"
"Oh ok, I'm going to take a shower"
"Ok" Whew, luckily that conversation was short I feel like I'm about to burst. I set it our food on the table. I start eating. When he's out the shower he joins. We talk and eat our dinner and since I finish first he offers to take the plates and I go check on Rebel. Just as I open the door, he starts crying. I pick him up and rock him. Aaron comes behind me and rubs his head. I give him a bottle and change his diaper and lay him back down. Guppy come behind me while I'm closing them door.
"Oh no you don't, little buddy" Aaron says and picks him up
"He's sleeping, Guppy" I whisper to him. He nods like he understands that tries to jump out of Aaron's arms. Aaron sets him down. He scurries his little paws across the the carpet then to the hardwood floor. I take a shower then change into some pjs. I come downstairs in baggy pjs and cuddle with Aaron, making sure that I cover my stomach. I hope it doesn't look weird. I feel so safe in his arms. Just looking him it makes me realize, he doesn't even know he's a dad. It makes me feel weird. I know he's going to be an amazing dad, it's just that when I tell him he's going to have to take on a world of responsibilities. I think I'm overthinking it. I focus on the TV and talking to Aaron. I look at the baby monitor. I guess it's good practice. We stay downstairs until Kian and Nessa make it home. Nessa says hi then quickly runs to check on her baby. She says it's a mom thing, little does she know that soon I'll understand too. (Whoa that sounded really creepy). Finally it's time to go to bed. I try but I just can't sleep. I look over at Aaron whose peacefully sleeping. I've decided to tell him tomorrow. It kinda puts my mind at ease so I relax and fall asleep.
Aaron POV
When I wake up in the morning I Make everyone breakfast. I know Kian and Nessa will be getting up late, so I put theirs in the microwave so all they'll have to do is turn it on and warm it up. I go to wake up Roni, but she's already up and making up the bed. We eat breakfast and talk. We have a lot of Vine references in our conversations. We go upstairs to get dressed. I sit down and play with Guppy while Roni's doing her makeup. She comes in with a camera and a little box. I forgot that I left my vlog camera in the bathroom.
"Baby, before we leave I have a present for you" She says
"Ok" I say in a confused voice. She hands me the box. I open and move the tissue paper and there was a card in an envelope. A little stick was inside. I didn't click until I flipped it over. It had two little lines.
"Does this mean?" I asked Roni. She nods her head and smiles.
"No way!" I get up and hug and kiss her.
"I'm going to be a dad" I start crying. I'm so happy. I've never felt this happy in my life. She's crying too. When we finally get it together we go downstairs to show Kian and Nessa. I grab the camera and Roni grabs the box a places the test back in there. When we get downstairs Kian's hugging Nessa while she's eating bacon.
"Kian and Nessa, we have a gift for you" Roni says
"Really, you guys are so sweet" Nessa says. Roni hands her the box and opens it.
"REALLY!" She looks at us with huge eyes. We both nod.
"Holy shit, that's amazing" Kian says. They hug us.
"My twin telepathy was telling me that something was up" Nessa says
"I guess you were right" I put down the camera. We all get the talking out. They explain everything to us. I think it was a little too much information. We leave to go see Roni's parents. We walk up to the door and ring the doorbell.
"Oh hi, honey" Mrs. Merrell says as she let's us in.
"Mommy, Daddy we have a gift for you"
"Oh thank you, a little unexpected but thank you" They open up the box and Mrs Merrell's face was priceless.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so happy for you" They hug us. After little bit we head back home. We FaceTime My family and Malaya is super excited about it. She's ready to dress the baby up and everything. Lauren and Alex were just admitted to the hospital so we'll tell them after the baby is born. I'm so excited, happy,and glad that we're pregnant.
