Chapter 7 - Girl's day out

Zach walked out of the shower with a towel wrapped around his waist. He picked up his jean and put it on not bothering with a shirt.

His muscles rippled as he sat down on his bed. He mind linked Jason to meet him in his room and immediately there was a knock on his door.

“come in” said Zach. “what is the rogue status today?”

“there were no rogue attacks today alpha. The woods are clear, but I smell something fishy. I think they are planning something.” Jason said thoughtfully.

“we need to send more wolves to guard the perimeters.” Zach said standing up.

“yes alpha. “ Jason said.

“Where is your sister?” Zach asked thinking about burning the ceremonial dress.

“I’m not sure let me ask her.” Jason took out his cell phone and called her. Even though he could easily mind link her he still followed the human way.

“Hey Megan, where are you? You…..what???” he screamed into the phone. He looked up at his alpha silently and then spoke rapidly on the phone and cut the call.

“what?” asked Zach.

“hmmm alpha my sister is shopping………umm with the Luna in the other territory.” Jason said hesitantly.

He took a step back when he saw Zach’s eyes turn black with anger.

“did you say in the other territory?” before Jason could reply Zach was out the door.

Zach didn’t know why the hell he was acting like this. All he could think was Delilah alone without any protection in a different territory with rogues on the loose. He didn’t even bother asking Jason how he knew Delilah was his mate. He could feel his heartbeat quicken as a sense of foreboding went through him.

He jumped into his jeep and started it he couldn’t run around in his wolf form in the mall.

Delilah was enjoying the day to the fullest. Megan was amazing to hang out with. She bought clothes and shoes and tasted ice cream for the first time! She wanted to keep eating it.

“lilah this shop has amazing clothes we totally have to go in here.” Megan said dragging her into the next shop.

“but Megan! I have so many clothes already! I’m not gonna have any place to wear such fancy clothes anyway.” Delilah said laughing.

“but lilah what if you have a date with someone and he takes you someplace fancy? You need these clothes! Now come on.” Megan said and hauled her into the shop.

By the time they finished it was around 5:00 in the evening.

“oh god I’m exhausted and hungry! We really need to eat something.” Megan said

“I think I told you this a good 2 hours back meg!” Delilah said

“well we didn’t finish shopping so we couldn’t take a break! Now we did, But this isn’t called finished either….we totally have to come back another day!” Megan said walking towards her car.

“I’m not gonna shop with you anymore meg! The amount of clothes I bought will last me a decade.” Delilah said putting the bags into the car.

“Not if I have anything to do about it!” Megan said laughing evilly “I’ll take you out every day!! Now let’s go put something in our stomach! I’m starving.” Megan said walking towards a restaurant.

“Ok you go book a table I’ll just put these bags in the car and join you.” Delilah said waving towards the restaurant.

Megan nodded and walked into the restaurant. Delilah kept her bags in and locked the door and put the keys in her pocket. Just as she started walking away a man came in front of her. She jerked back

“excuse me” she said trying to move towards the side when another man stepped in front of her. she made the mistake of looking up into their eyes. They were blood red. She started backing away and they moved forward, she didn’t know what to do so she just turned and ran.

The men caught up to her easily. One of the man caught hold of her and she kicked him in the shin. He just smiled at tightened his hold. She didn’t give up she scratched him in the eye and he suddenly let her go. She fell down. The guy looked really pissed. He lunged towards her but she moved then the other guy caught her and slapped her hard. She could see black dots before her eyes just as she heard a huge roar.

She was suddenly dropped but she couldn’t see anything, couldn’t even lift her head. She heard a growl and sounds of flesh ripping and cringed inside.

Just as her world was blacking out she felt strong arms lift her towards a warm chest. She tried to say something but she couldn’t. All she could see were a pair of silver eyes.

“Shhhhh…..let go now, I’ve got you.” And she let the blackness take her.
