Chapter – 6
Delilah balanced two plates in her hands and walked towards the table. She put the food on the table and turned just in time to see Megan walk into the diner.
Delilah’s smile brightened instantly and she walked towards Megan.
“hi! It’s so nice to see you! I didn’t expect you to come down here!”Delilah said motioning Megan towards an empty table.
Megan smiled back at her.
“Of course I would take you up on your offer. It’s the least I could do after embarrassing you!” She said.
Delilah’s mind immediately went back to the way that irritating man had treated her. He brought out all her bad qualities! Now that she was a human she had lots of those.
“It’s alright, it wasn’t your fault Megan. That man asked you to do it. Now let’s not talk about him.” Megan nodded.
“What would you like to eat?” Delilah asked.
“Ummm….burger and fries that’s it.” answered Megan.
“How do you like your meat cooked?” Delilah asked jotting the order down.
“I like it rare.” Delilah looked up. There were so many people here who ate their meat rare. She shrugged and wrote it down.
“Anything else?”
“Hmm…yes a coke. Thanks.”
“Ok! I’ll be back in a jiffy.” And Delilah ran back into the kitchen.
Delilah really liked Megan. Maybe she could help her go around town and buy things and hang out. Sarah was always out of town. She went to meet her boyfriend.
Delilah came back with the burger and fries and placed it in front of Megan.
“That was quick.” She commented.
“thanks!”And shot Megan her million dollar angelic smile and walked back into the kitchen not noticing Megan gaping at her back.
Megan shook her head and picked up her burger and bit into it. She sighed with pleasure and sat back. As she ate she thought about Delilah. Megan really liked her, maybe she could hangout with her. Megan didn’t have many girlfriends because all of them wanted to be her friends to get to alpha Zach or Jason. All of them were bitches. So she stayed away from them.
She picked up a fry and bit into it thoughtfully. Maybe she could make plans with Delilah. She could take her to the mall and help her get new clothes to make up for what happened in her shop.
Satisfied she smiled and went back to eating her burger.
