I sat next to Liz as I read my book. Her sleeping body laid there, with her eyes closed. She must be feeling really peaceful. I smiled to myself.

Liz opened her eyes," Hey Geraldine." I helped her up. "Liz..if you're feeling tired you should sleep more." She raised her hand. "I'm alright..So is everything okay?"

I walked to table to pour her a glass of water."Yeah...Pretty much."

"Pretty Much?" She asked. I nodded and passed her the glass of water.I took a deep breath and sat next to her."At least it's the end of somethings. But in general..everything is back to the way it was.."

I didn't want to tell her the truth or anything about how I truly felt. I wanted to assure her that I was fine. That was the best I could come up with.

I can't tell her I was really happy everything was back to normal. That would be a total lie.

"That's great. I'm glad you feel that way." Liz smiled warmly.

I gave her a smile. I do feel relieved. Is just that.. I rather not think about it.

I spent a few more hours there with Liz. It was dark already so I started heading home.

I walked out of the hospital. I looked up at the red sky. The sun was setting.

I didn't feel like going home. I continued walking. Till I walked by a familiar house. To be more exact, a mansion.

It was Erika's and Elizabeth's place. I walked slower. I could hear something.

Oh. It must be him.

He was at the same spot where I first heard him play and then I looked up to the balcony where I stood that time.

The only difference was now instead of me there, there stood Erika. She was lost in his music.

I could see she was happy. She was admiring him and laughing. He laughed back too. I put my hand over my chest.

For some reason this very scene somehows feels like it was stabbing me in the chest. I could not bear this.

I started running away. I closed my eyes. It was painful. Why does it have to be Emmanuel?

"Ouch!" I sprained my ankle. I sat on the ground holding my ankle. Tears flowed down.

I felt the pain from my ankle, but the pain I feel in my heart was worse. I didn't know which of them were causing me to cry.

"Are you alright?" A voice asked. I looked up. A stranger was standing next to me.

He bent down."That looks like a sprain. But it's not serious. Come. I'll help you."

I nodded, I was too choked up to even care who that was. He helped me to the nearest bench.

He took off my shoe and did simple massages. "It's not really bad so don't cry okay?"

I nodded. "Thank You." He smiled. "No problem. Tell me where you live, I'll help you there."

"It's alright. I can manage. " I assured him. "You sure? Because..." He continued.

"Yeah..I'm alright." I forced a smile.

"Okay." He replied and stood up. I waved to him. He started walking. Suddenly he stopped.

"What's your name?" He asked me. I thought to myself. He is just someone I met a few minutes ago. But still...

"Geraldine. " I answered,"How about yours?"

He smiled back. " It's Travis. So nice to meet you. Geraldine."

I nodded and I watched him walk away. He was just someone I met like how many minutes ago?

But later did I know... he would become part of my life.

A few weeks later.

My phone rang as I was walking home with Liz.

Liz was discharged from the hospital a week ago. We just went to the hospital for her check up.

I picked up the phone. "Geraldine! Geraldine!OMG!" Erika screamed. "Erika? What's going on?" I asked.

"Okay..okay.." She calmed down. Emmanuel and Joseph aren't going for the two year study trip! Well they are..but that will be like maybe half a year later? I'm really happy! "

Really? For some reason I felt relieved in my heart. " That's great! Good for you! " That's all I could say. Erika started talking about other things as well.

To be honest. I was sincerely happy for her. But.. I felt sad at the same time.

A few more weeks passed. And finally school started again.

I excitedly walked to school. From a distance I saw Elizabeth and the rest waving at me. I caught up with them.

" Hey Guys!" I waved. They smiled at me. This is what it feels like to have friends that wait for you..is it?

We talked alot and did alot of catching up. As usual Emmanuel was quiet, But the funny thing was Joseph. He was cheerful and more lively than ever.

I could see the way he treated Elizabeth was sincere now. I could not help but smile.

The bell rang. We had to go to class now, I parted ways with them. Promising to meet during lunch break.

I sat down and placed my books and stationary on the table. I took a deep breath and looked around the classroom.

Everyone treated me like I was one of them. I felt welcomed. But I didn't know about Tracy. She was in a different class that's good enough for me.

"Class." Mrs Mclauren announced. We all stood up and greeted her. (In this school, things were abit different.)

We sat down and started to get ready for the lesson.

"Class. It appears with have a new student." Mrs Mclauren pointed out.

What she said made us turn heads. Everyone looked to the back, to see who that new student was.

A boy with brown hair stood up. His eyes were emerald. Well almost. If I'm not exaggerating.

He looked familiar. But I can't seem to recall anything.

"What's your name?" Mrs Mclauren asked him.

"Travis. Travis Ryan." He replied without hesitation.

He turned to look at me. I looked back at him. That name rang a bell.

Travis gave me a smile. I was taken aback.

Did I know him?
