"A-a-a date-e?" I choked.

"Yeah. A date." Travis replied.

A date? I never even been to one before. I don't even understand what a date truly is about. .

"But..I've never been to a date before..." I mumbled.

"Then..I'll have that honour of bringing you on your first date." Travis chuckled.

"Alright." I replied.

My first date is with Travis...To be honest..I felt happy.

But Travis truly meant alot..I mean..he meant..so much to me such that I have to..no..I need to tell him about Emmanuel and I..what happened yesterday.

It pains me to do so..but I have to.

"Really? That's great! I'll pick you up at noon." Travis exclaimed.

"Sure.." I answered.

The phone line went dead.

Geraldine. Take this one date and treasure it.

Because...after this date..Travis might never talk to you again.

**************************************

I sat at my doorstep to wait for Travis. I looked up at the blue sky before giving out a long and loud sigh.

"What was that for?" Dad walked out and sat next to me.

"I'm going on a date with Travis." I turned to him.

"What?" Dad asked.

"I'm going on the last outing with my best friend and probably someone I care for so much to the extend that I don't even know what he is to me." I replied.

"Last? Are you gonna tell him?"

"Yes. I am." I said slowly."But at the same time..I don't want to. What am I suppose to do?"

"Look here, kid. The longer you drag and the later you tell him would only hurt him more. Because..love can only grow." Dad gave me a comforting smile as he walked back to the house.

I gave him a slight smile. I have to tell Travis. Probably that little love I have for him is the one pushing me to do so.

Really? Little love..

I was suppose to hang out with Elizabeth..and Erika..today. I have to explain them too.

"Geraldine!" Travis called.

I looked up and there he was. Suddenly I felt that I could stare at him forever.

"Hey..Even for someone as good looking as me you don't have to stare that long." Travis laughed.

I blushed and looked away."Good looking? You wish!"

Travis started laughing. Slowly I looked at Travis once more. He was good looking. In fact, that emerald eyes of his could just make me paralyzed.

Actually it would make any girl feel that.

"Come on, Let's go." He stretched out his hand.

I nodded and grabbed onto his hand."Where are we going?"

"We're gonna have fun." Travis spoke as he walked towards a car.

"That's yours?" I asked.

"Hey. I may not be filthy rich but I am able to afford a car." Travis joked.

"That's not what I meant though.." I mumbled.

"What?" Travis turned to me.

"Nothing!" I smiled.

"Okay...get in." Travis smiled back.

I got in and sat down. Travis sat at the driver's seat.

I was about to put on my seat belt when..Travis stretched out to help me with it.

"You don't have to.." I replied blushing.

He stared into my eyes."As I said..this a date. Your first date."

First date..? Yes that was true. For me. Travis started driving looking at me occasionally.

"Erm.." I mumbled.

"Yeah?" Travis asked still keeping his eyes on the road.

"This..is my first date..how about y-y-you?"

I stuttered. Why is it so hard to breathe normally?

"I've gone on plenty of dates before." Travis replied.

Plenty of dates? Disappointment sank in.

"O-oh .. I - I see.." I mumbled.

Why would I in the first place think that this actually might be his first date..? He's totally different from me. Girls go to him.

"But..this is the first time I've ever asked anyone on a date." Travis smiled at me."And I'm glad that person is you."

I was happy he said that yet I felt sad at the same time..

"Where are we going?" I asked Travis.

"That is where we're going." Travis pointed.

My eyes followed his finger's direction. I could see a ferris wheel and a Roller coaster.

"A theme park?" I turned to him.

"Yeah.." Travis laughed.

Theme park. I've been to one before with them. But I'm still gonna enjoy myself.

Travis parked the car and bought the tickets.

"Here you go." Travis smiled while passing me my ticket.

"Thanks." I replied.

"Come on, Let's go!" Travis exclaimed.

I nodded in excitement. Travis grabbed my hand and we were off.

****************************

"That's got to be the best ride ever!" I exclaimed.

"For you..not for me.." Travis stated.

"Are you alright?" I laughed.

"What do you think? Roller coasters aren't my thing." Travis continued.

I laughed really bad. He was so cute.

"You're just adorable!" I said, laughing.

Travis looked at me and stared into my eyes.

"W-what?" I asked, blushing. He has got to stop doing that ...it makes my heart race somehow.

"Nothing.." Travis smiled.

"Alright. Let's have a shot on the bumper cars." I continued.

"Alright." Travis smiled.

I continued to walk when I felt a warm sensation on my hands. My heart pounded harder.

Slowly, I looked downwards. There it was..Travis' hands in mine. He gripped my hand tightly yet gently.

I turned to Travis who was looking forward, smiling a slight smile.

I didn't resist or try to let go. I felt like I was gonna disappear into thin air soon.

His hand in mine felt like it was telling me something.

It was telling me that that hand will never let go of mine. A promise was made to me.
