Travis' POV

******************

What's so good about Emmanuel? Seriously..

I wanted to tell her how I felt about her. But..

Best friend huh? Friend.. I hate that word. Just a friend? Damn.

My eyes searched the room for her despite being surrounded by everyone. Well.. girls to be exact.

I didn't know how or when I started feeling this way. But it's her that drives me carzy.

The short hair problem is just crap. She's different. Why does it have to be so complicated?

It all started with him. That guy. But still. I can't do anything about it.

Geraldine loves Emmanuel. I didn't even know when that started since she treats Erika and Elizabeth as if they're a god or something.

I looked at Geraldine once more. Right now she's talking with Erika and Elizabeth.

It must be so tough for her. But love can't be force can it?

"Travis...can you stay abit longer after the party?" Jennifer asked.

Jennifer..well she's pretty hot. But still I can't take my eyes of Geraldine. She's beautiful in her own way.

"Can't.I have to walk Geraldine home.Sorry about it." I replied trying to sound as polite as possible.

Actually..I was very annoyed. With the drama going on with Emmanuel and Geraldine plus with Erika not knowing of it. It's too complicated.

Emmanuel. He keeps putting up a cool front. But I know. He does like her. And yet he rejects her? Then he kissed her? What's wrong with that dude?

"Travis!" Jennifer called out again.

I snapped out from my thoughts." Yeah?"

"I asked you if you and I can go out some other time..since you cannot make it tonight." Jennifer continued.

I nodded. Well what could I say? I could tell she was interested in me. But that doesn't really matter.

"Erm...Travis.."

"Hmm?" I looked at Jennifer.

Jennifer pulled me into a corner. Well she may be interested in me but she's paying too much attention on me.

It's her party yet she acts like I'm on a date with her.

"I think you like Geraldine.." Jennifer mumbled.

"Where did that come from?" I asked. I was startled. Was it that obvious?

"I can tell." Jennifer replied calmly.

"Okay. What of it? You're gonna hate her or something? " I asked.

"No.. well I would have, since you know how I feel about you. But.."

"But?" I turned to her.

"Well..that would cease my chance of ever being with you." Jennifer smiled.

"Wow. You're pretty frank." I stated. Well she is.. I mean she just told me like that?

"Haha. I am. So how did you come to like her?" Jennifer asked.

"Really? You'd hear that?" I asked.

"Yeah. I really like you alot and I wanna go out with you. But you like Geraldine so we might as well start out as friends." Jennifer continued.

"Wow. Okay." I laughed," I met her one night when she sprained her ankle. It was really pure coincidence. She was crying. So I helped her up. At first, I thought she was crying because of the pain. But her face told me otherwise."

I stopped for awhile to look at Jennifer. She's really listening to this.

"So? What happened? " She asked.

"Well I helped her out. And we told each other our names." I continued.

"What? You guys just met.." Jennifer sighed.

"Probably I was curious so I just asked. But I got really interested in her..so since I just moved in to somewhere around the neighborhood, I noticed her for quite awhile." I smiled to myself.

Yeah. Notice huh? I don't think that would be the right word. It's more like I see her wherever I go. I wasn't stalking her. There's a thing call fate. I think that's the word.

"Then you guys met in school?" Jennifer asked.

"Yeah. I realized she was in the same class as I was. And so we became friends. Yeah and that's when I .. yeah.." I smiled.

Jennifer nodded."Wow..that only happens in movies.."

"I know.." I looked down.

"And you..know that Emmanuel guy?" Jennifer said.

"Him?" Why did she have to bring him up?

"He's interesting..you know." Jennifer mumbled.

"So? What's so good about him?"

"I guess I was right.." Jennifer continued.

"Right about what? "

"That you don't like him. And...I think there is something going on between Geraldine and Emmanuel. The tension between them is so..."

"Enough." I said coldly.

"Sorry." Jennifer whispered. Jennifer wrapped her arms around me.

What is she doing?

"Travis..." A familiar voice spoked.

It was Geraldine. No.

Why does it have to be her? Why must she be the one who sees this?

Geraldine ran away before I could say anything.

"Geraldine!" I called out.

"Wow. Looks like matters just got more complicated..." Jennifer let go of me.

"What do you mean?" I turned to her.

"Can't you see? She's hurt. Looks like your feelings are not one-sided." Jennifer placed a hand on my shoulder."I'm sorry she saw that. But..I'm glad you told me everything."

Jennifer walked away after that.I guess she just realized she had a party to host.

Not one-sided? Why didn't I realize that before? There was no other reason. Why did she run off then?

I started running after her. This just gets more complicated.
