"How could you? Geraldine. Why? You know that this would hurt Erika's feelings as well as your relationship with her." He continued.
"I can't help it." I sighed.
"What do you mean you can't? How does he feel about you?" Dad asked.
"He feels the same." I answered.
Before Dad said anything, he kept silent for awhile.
"You kids..really are messed up. Does she know?" Dad continued.
"I believe she does. But she doesn't say anything." I said sadly.
"And one more thing..How about him?"Dad asked once more.
Dad wasn't harsh. I could see he was trying to help but in a friend's point of view.
"Him?" I asked.
"The guy who took my clothes. I knew he stayed here the other time when I was away." He replied yet I felt that he was teasing me as well.
"Travis?..well it's er.. complicated."
"Travis huh? You like him don't you? And I'm pretty sure he likes you." Dad stated.
"How did you know?" I turned to him.
"I'm your Dad. As well as a man. So I do know things." He replied.
Dad placed his hands on my shoulders."I'm not going to tell you what to do. Because I'm sure you know what to do. But just a word of advice. Be prepared for anything."
I nodded."Thank you."
I knew what Dad meant.
It wasn't going to be easy. But..the moment I told myself I was in love with my best friend's boyfriend, I have to face the consequences.
No matter what they be.

I covered my face with the blanket to block the sunlight that was rushing in.
I couldn't help but smile.
Emmanuel actually loves me. He actually does.
My efforts is was all worth it. He finally opened up to me.
But..I don't think he is ready to completely tell me everything about himself. He still secures his heart.
Suddenly my heart felt like it was torn into millions of feelings.
Happiness.
Sadness.
Guit.
There was still Travis. There was still Erika. There was Elizabeth. There was Joseph.
I have to answer everyone of them.
But..I have to do it nonetheless.
Because for Emmanuel, I'd do anything.
My phone vibrated.
Seriously. Early in the morning? I don't even bother to see who the caller was. This person is gonna get it.
"Hey! Look at the time now!" I answered.
"Oops. Sorry." Travis laughed.
Yeah. Why didn't I guess it was him? Who else would do this?
"Travis...are you kidding me? It's seven in the morning for goodness sake." I sighed.
"Is that how you'd treat the birthday boy?" He teased.
"What? It's your birthday?" I asked.
"Yeah yeah. It is. Forgot about it haven't you?" Travis said.
"Forgot about it? You never even told me." I replied.
"Cause you'd never ask." Travis sighed.
He was right. I didn't ask him much about his personal life. That shows how selfish I was.
"Alright...I'm sorry. Happy Birthday, Travis." I laughed.
"Nope."
"What? What is that suppose to mean?" I asked.
"I ain't accepting a greeting by itself." Travis continued.
"Then..what do you want?" I asked.
"I want you to go on a date with me." He replied.
-To be continued.
