Once we were finally back with our own feet on the ground, I turned my attention back to 12. My eyes narrowed in anger. Why did they have to out show us? They weren’t on fire anymore, and they seemed fine. I was surprised to find that I hated that too.

I turned my gaze back to Cato, he was glaring at the two of them as well. We couldn’t do anything about it, so I guess that I’ll just have to get over it.

Soon the District 12 tributes walked over to the elevator, stepped inside, and finally disappeared. I thought that if they stayed down here any longer, Cato might loose it.

“That didn’t go as planned.” I said, and he took his furious eyes off the elevator doors to look down at me, and his eyes softened.

“No, I guess not.” He murmured, turning his gaze up to Enobaria, who was walking casually up to us.

“Nice job you two.” She barked, “You’re sure to have gained a lot of sponsors there. Even though those coal monkeys stole the show, you can take care of them in the arena.” She flashed yet another deadly smile, and I flinched. I was really going to have to try and get used to that so that my mentor doesn’t think of me as a sniveling coward.

Cato grunted. “I’ve got a few plans for the two of them.”

“Well, don’t plan in completely now, just make you arrogant, and that may just be what gets you both killed out there.” Enobaria says gruffly, her gaze flickering between Cato and myself, as if sizing us up again. God, I was never going to be able to get used to her would I? She was just plain vicious.

“Come, on, let’s get you both out of those costumes so that we can get started on supper, I’m starving.” Exclaims our mentor, and begins to walk, more quickly this time, towards the elevator. Cato was the first to follow, and as soon as his feet moved, I followed quickly behind as well.

A glimpse of purple caught my eye as the elevator doors began to close. Was that District 1 girl looking at Cato? I couldn’t be sure however, because at the next moment, the doors sealed tightly in front of me, blocking my view of the bird-like girl. Something wasn’t right about how she was looking at him, and it made me uneasy, angry, and I hate to mention it… really jealous.

We flew upwards extremely quickly, we reached our floor in a matter of seconds, although, we were only on the second floor. Since we are the tributes from District 2, the floor that we are staying on is Floor 2. A pretty simple arrangement.

The room was huge. I really don’t know how else to explain it. There was so much colorful furniture, and bright fluorescent lights, chandeliers, it was absolutely amazing.

“Welcome to your new home!” Bubbles Klestania.

Not for long. I think, but I don’t say it out loud.

I notice an amazingly long table covered in empty, sparkling silver platters. Must be preparing for dinner.

“Why don’t you get changed and freshen up before supper?” Asked Klestania, I nod, and our escort shows us to our rooms.

I stepped inside of mine, and locked the door behind me. I walked over to the bed, and sat down on the edge, one hand on my forehead, the others fingers running through the soft fabric. I just needed to think.

Okay, so now I have two new rivals, an unknown threat, I guess I can call it. This is most definitely not going as I had planned.

Now… I’m scared….
