ahh he's so cute :,)

i stood by mary, jim and david behind stage watching the live aid concert in awe and shock. freddie was absolutely killing it having him back on stage with all of them. i remember all the guys being so torn up over it.

~very very long flashback(s)~

"what the hell are we going to do?" roger bit his lip while we all sat down in johns basement. it's been a month since freddie left and we all still had our heads held on it. roger lit another cigarette as he but his arm loosely around his my shoulder.

"i don't know..." john tugged at his hair a little as brian just sat there in silence. he hasn't said anything this whole entire night.

"freddie's right." he spoke at once as we all looked at him. "we're nothing without him" i sighed and laid back into roger some more, feeling defeated as well.

"can you sing (y/n)..?" john looked up at me with a little twinkle in his eye. i felt my self tease up and a red coated my cheeks. roger clearly noticed, so he grabbed my hand after he threw his cigarette in the ashtray. "i mean you played bass before i joined and took your spot..." i can tell he had a little guilt in him as he looked away for a second, but looking back in an instant. i honestly didn't mind that he took my spot. he tells me it's not okay, but i always reassured him it was fine. "do you have any musical singing talents?"

"u-uh" i stuttered and looked around the room to see all eyes on me, even brian's. "i could never sing like mercury man... i feel like i'd be disrespectful towards him."

everyone threw their heads back and groaned at my response. it's true, freddie's a true legend i can't disrespect him but me replacing him.

"c'mon..." roger pulled away from me so he can look me at me face to face. "just sing for us. we won't even release the records if you don't want us to." he gave me the damn eyes. the same eyes that made me go on a second date with him. the damn eyes to make me go home with him. those damn convincing eyes.

i huffed through my mouth and bit my lip. maybe they just had to do this for a distraction. "fine" i mumbled as all the boys sprung up from there seats and started to hug one another.

"freddie can eat our shit!" brian yelled as he pulled me off the couch i was currently sitting on and we all embraced in one huge hug.

"thank you so much (y/n)" john kissed my temple quickly and embraced me into his own hug. i didn't think that me singing was that big of a deal. but thinking about it music was a huge part of there lives now.

i got yanked away from john by roger who looked deeply in my eyes as he put an arm around my waist. "thanks sweetheart" he mumbled before he crashed his lips into mine. i kissed back, melting in his touch while i loosely draped my arms around his shoulder, tugging at his hair a little bit. he smiled in the kiss and so did i as i leaned my forehead against his.

~five months later~

"so you've been filling in for freddie since he took a solo career is that correct?" the radio show host asked as i tightened my grip on rogers hand.

"we-well yes, i have been. i-uh feel very disrespectful to freddie though since he's a true legend, and i'm just a scummy kid who is trying to get a degree for a engineer." the talk show host laughs along with the crowd, and so do the boys sitting next to me.

"very funny (y/n)" the host smiles at me before throwing another question at me. "you and roger are dating, correct?"

"yes sir" i smile as the crowd awes.
