A Family At Last

Ready to go home?

(Rain's POV) {5 days later}

I sit up in the hospital bed, ready to go home. I've been cooped up in this room for a week and some days. I'm ready to go get some fresh air. Someone knocks on my door, "Come in."

Jerome walks in holding some of my clothes, my brush and some of my sandles. He smiles at me, "Ready to go home?' I nod and kiss him, "Tell my doctor that he needs to come in here and take the wires out of my arm, please."

He nods, hands me the clothes and walks out of the room. I pull on the pants, making sure the wires don't get tangled. I brush my scraggly hair, pulling hard at the knots. Dr. James walks in, Jerome following him.

Dr. James smiles at me, "This might feel weird at first, since you've had this needle in your arm for a while." I nod and extend my hand towards him. He gently takes my arm and removes the tape, after that he pulls out the needle.

He takes the clippy thing off my finger after everything else is taken off of me. I smile since I can finally bend my finger. "Alright that's everything, we'll leave you so you can change fully. "Thank you for everything." I hug Dr. James, he smiles and walks out.

Jerome takes my hand and kisses it softly, "See you in a little bit." I smile and he walks out of the room. I stand up slowly so I don't fall on my face and take off the horrible hospital gown. I grab my shirt and pull it over my head.

I walk to the bathroom to brush and style my hair. I grab my purse and get my makeup out of it. I put on some mascara and lip gloss. While putting on my lip gloss I see a big scar on my hair line. I run my finger over it counting 7 stitches.

I hear a knock on my door, "Come in!" I yell. I expect it to just be Jerome but Skyler, Ian and Ty are with him. "Hey guys." I smile and hug Skyler, Ian and Ty. "What, nothing for your boyfriend?" I laugh and kiss him. "Get a room!" Ian yells. We all laugh as I gather my stuff and we head out.
