13-Finding a Friend

Riley's pov

"Dang they definitely didn't want anyone to get in." Allison said while they continued to walk towards the fence cautiously.
She was right.The fence was huge almost about 12feet high and who knows how wide.

"How could someone build this in three months?" I wondered out loud.Kiki shrugged "Allison said she saw more then two people at the mall,maybe they have more friends." " We don't even know if they are the people from the mall. "Ally said has she made her way along the fence." Help me find a way in. "

One of two hours went by and we still hasn't found anything. "Guys"I said"it's getting late maybe we should head back."

Kiki and Allison laughed"that's what we said to you a little bit ago. " " Whatever. "
Allison stopped and turned around.She was about to say something when her smirk disappeared and she frowned.

"What's wrong?" I asked. "Something moved." I looked over my shoulder and saw a patch of bushes on the edge of the tree line.It was still. "Ally are you oka-" A growl emerged from the bushes.

We all froze. "We need to go" Kirsten whispered.

Then almost has fast has lightning something shot out of the bushes straight towards us.

"Run!" No sooner did that word leave my mouth did we take off running in the opposite direction.I could hear the steps of whatever was behind us,meaning it was catching up. I tried to look over my shoulder for a split second.

"Riley,watch it!" Has i turned around i noticed that a tree had appeared in front of me.Trying to quickly go around it i ended up tripping and pushing Kirsten into Allison.

"Ahh!Shoulder! "Ally screamed when she hit the ground.My vision was clouded with black dots.I stood up and almost fell right back over.I noticed Allison a few feet away from me holding her shoulder from pain.
" Kirsten,where's Kirsten! "
Allison looked up"I don't know. "

"Ahhh!" Both our heads snapped in the direction of the scream. We raced towards the sound expecting to see the worst.

Kirsten on the ground...... With a dog licking her face. "What the..." Allison whispered. "I don't know." Kirsten looked up at us and laughed " tell her to get off of me! " Allison smiled. "Come here girl!Come here." The dog looked up at ally and ran right over to her. "You good kiki?" I asked since ally was to distracted with the dog. "Yeah I'm fine.I think the dog was what was chasing us."

The dog was pretty.It was a almost completely white pit bull,it's tiny tail being a chestnut brown.

"Peanut!Peanut,where did you go girl!"
We all froze at the sudden voice.The dog barked and started to go back up the hill when about half way it stopped and turned to face us has if waiting for us to follow.

"Peanut!" The voice was getting closer.
"Hey there you are." Me,Allison,and Kirsten moved closer to each.The person froze when they saw us.We stared at each other in silence.The person was wearing a black leather jacket with jeans and boots.Half their face was covered with a bandana.
I took notice that they had knives and possibly other weapons on them.

Peanut,the dog,sat down at the person's feet panting.

"This is awkward." Ally whispered.
"Uhhh.Hi there.How are you?Good i hope."
Me and Allison looked at Kirsten has she tried to make things less awkward but to no avail. "My name is Kirsten.This is Riley and Allison." She said pointing to us has she said out names.

"I don't believe it.We thought all of you were dead."

" What? "I asked confused.
" how could you think we were dead if we haven't meet before. "Allison piped in.

The person held up their hands has if saying no harm and slowly moved their bandana.

I couldn't breathe.Standing in front of us was someone we thought was dead,someone who we thought was a zombie.

" ....Jordan..... "Allison said barely above a whisper.Her eyes were wide in shock and disbelief.

Jordan smiled" In the flesh. "
Kirsten walked forward "how?"
" You haven't seen me in three months and that's the first thing you ask? "
Kirsten now stood only a few feet away from him.

Kirsten then grabbed Jordan and wrapped him in a hug.Me and Allison soon followed.
Peanut barked and started running around in circles.

Once we all stopped hugging ,I looked up in the sky to see the sun starting to head down.Jordan noticed that I seemed nervous. "So where do you guys live?" he asked. "On the backside of Neighborhood drive." Ally answered.He seemed surprised"that's a little far. " Kiki shrugged "well we don't really care anymore."

Jordan tapped his foot on the ground has if thinking. "How about I bring you guys back with me to my home? we're right outside the fence anyways." We all looked at him.
"Are you sure?" I asked suspiciously. "Yeah,I doubt Lila will mind."
"Lila? She's still alive to!" My mind was racing. "How many people are inside those fences?" Jordan thought for a moment "About 15." We all stated at him. " 15! "Jordan covered his ears when we all yelled at him." yeah 15,soon to be 18 if you guys want. "

"I'm in." Ally said. "Wait a minute." I said "all our stuff is back home." " We can go get it another day. " Kiki said"besides don t you want to see lila again? "

I did,I really did.Lila was a good friend before the zombie apocalypse.So was Jordan I guess but he wasn't has close to me has Ally and Kiki.They looked so happy to see other people.I smiled"fine,we'll go with you. ".

Jordan smiled even bigger then before." Lets go. "
