Leigh walks in to the kitchen in her pajamas as Tyler slides the ring on to my mildly-shaking finger. My heart is beating a little bit fast...

"Holy shit." She says quietly after processing what she is seeing for a moment.

I roll my eyes

I roll my eyes. She is totally ruining the moment right now.

Leigh opens her arms and pulls me in for a hug. "Congratulations girl!" I nod and fake a smile to appease her. I am really not enjoying this hug. "We should go out and celebrate! This is a big moment!"

I shrug. "I've got kids to take care of. Plus, it's like nine-in-the-morning. What's there to do?" I try to deter her from the idea. I don't want to go out and do anything with her.

Why does she think we are friends now? All of the sudden? I am not a fan of this. I feel like she has something up her sleeve like a new way to try and ruin my life. This plan of hers doesn't sit well with me.

Tyler places his hand on the small of my back. "I think maybe it would be best if we all went out as a family or something. It will be like an adventure for the kids and it's something new for all of us adults. I agree that we need to get everyone out of the house." He looks over at me. I can tell by the look on his face that he can tell I was avoiding Leigh.

"That's not a bad idea. I mean, it's not super exciting like I was imagining but if that's your way of celebrating, I'm all in. I am tired of being cooped up like a chicken in here!" Leigh nods adamantly. I guess she is excited for this now.

"Okay, lets go get the kids then." I shrug with a smile on my face, thrilled that she will accept this as 'celebrating.' Leigh squeals and runs upstairs to wake the kids up.

Tyler grabs my arm before I can go help wake the little monsters up and spins be back around to face him. He pulls me into him and kisses me. "I love you."

I stare at him, smiling for a moment. "I love you too."

Author's note: next chapter, the plot really thickens. Are you ready?

Any predictions on what will happen?

This is probably my last update before the new year. So I want to end this year by saying thank you to anyone and everyone who clicked on any of my stories in 2018. Whether it be by accident and falling in love or if it started as an exchange of reads, thank you. Here's to hoping 2019 will be even better!

I hope to see you all in the new year!
